The leaves are rolled up long and tight. They look almost twig like. With each infusion they expand and you begin to see more of the leaf. The liquor is an amber-gold color. The smell of it when brewed is sweet and slightly vegetal. It tastes astringent, a little bitter on the back notes. There’s some hints of grass and hints of a nutty flavor. There’s a creamy almost buttery taste but it’s mild. A sweet apricot flavor as well.

This tea is nice. It’s a mild tea. The leaves are greyish white and unfurl into a greenish brown full leaf with each infusion. The liquor is a light gold color. It has a bit of a grassy, herbaceous flavor. A slight fruity note like peaches maybe. It isn’t bitter if brewed correctly. Quite delicious!

Just finished off the las bit of this tea. For a while, I wasn’t able to drink caffeine for quite so there were very few teas in circulation and this was one of them. Needless to say, I got tired of the same old same old. But, after a few months of not having this tea… I have forgotten how refreshing it is. It has a naturally sweet flavor. It’s a different sort of a sweetness than many other teas out there since it doesn’t have fruity or floral back notes. The leaves are small and almost chopped up like. The liquor is a lovely red color. The smell of the tea before it is brewed is lightly sweet, like honey. After it’s brewed it becomes much more potent. It’s great for an upset stomach, sleeping issues, headaches, all sorts of things. I have forgotten how much I enjoyed this tea. A nice relaxing cuppa.

Very nice “tea”. The leaves are green flakes. They’re almost bark like in texture. The liquor is a pale greenish brown. It smells like roasted cauliflower or broccoli. It tastes like roasted vegetables as well with a bit of a woodsy taste.

The leaves are small little and tight before brewing. They’re a nice bright green as well. They look almost like pine needles. It’s amazing how they unfurl to almost a full leaf and look almost brown when brewed. The liquid is a golden yellow color. It smells very floral. Almost like a chamomile. It tastes floral, astringent, it has a vegetal note as well, like grass. It has a mild nutty flavor.

The leaves are dark especially for a green. They are such a dark shade of purple they almost look black. The liquor is light when brewed. An amber-gold color. The tea is mild tasting, smooth, a bit of a vegetal taste. A little like cucumbers. Nice, mild, morning tea.

I am not a big fan of nutmeg. When I first opened the tin I got a huge wiff of that sickeningly sweet smell. Trying my best to optimiscally pin point the source, I said to myself “oh it’s cardamon”. Upon another sniff, I reluctantly discovered “nooooo it’s nutmeg” Being open minded, I brewed a pot anyway. When brewed, it smelled much better. I was pleasantly surprised all the flavors blended together well included the dreaded nutmeg.
The unsteeped mixture looked like an east frisian. Small crumbled black leaves with bits of ginger and spice mixed up. The liquor brewed up dark and “mud like”. (Which I like in a chai) The flavored melded together very well. I could taste all the flavor notes.
I added sweetened condense milk and a few drops of vanilla extract after tasting.

Flavors: Candy, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger, Nutmeg, Pepper, Spices, Spicy, Sugar, Sweet, Vanilla

Technically, I got this tea from The Pleasures of Tea. (My tea dealer) but it is from the Doke Estate in India. Lochan is the name of the family who runs the estate. This tea is great. Leaves are brownish in color and expanded greatly with each infusion. I do not separate infusions. I infuse, put it in a pot, infuse again until the coloring looks light to me. The liquor is dark amber in color when brewed, It has a bit of an astringent, musky taste. There aren’t many floral notes like a typical oolong. Sweet tasting kind of like a Formosa. Yum.

Green tea from the Anuhi province in China.
Thin straight leaves that unfurl with each infusion. The liquor is a light goldish-yellowish color when brewed. It brews light, almost like a white tea. The flavors are plant-like. Grassy notes, no floral notes, with a smooth finish.

Love the taste of this tea. It is great on it’s own with nothing in it. So far I haven’t tried it with anything in it. Sweet spicy cinnamon tea. Perfect for cold weather.
