2967 Tasting Notes
Today was the first day that I woke up and said to myself “its almost fall!” Hooray! I cannot wait until fall.
So I decided to open up this sample, which I had been saving for a more autumnal day. It sounded like a fall tea.
Its good. Really good. I like this a whole bunch. Fruit teas and teas with almond are some of my favorites, so this blend is just lovely.
This order of Harney & Sons samples was supposed to rule out teas for me. All thats actually happened is that my “I should really buy this in full size” desire has gone up.
I am now seeing the treachery of samples. They lurk around and then bam! they take my money. To be fair, they do give me more deliciousness in return, but still…..
In my resolution to drink at least one cup of something that I find meh every day, (in an effort to get it drunk and move on to bigger and better teas) I have poured myself a cup of this.
Memory serves that I found this really underwhelming, so I double bagged this cup in an attempt to enrich the chai and to lure out the promised vanilla. It has not worked.
Meh.
Aha! Here it is! This is everything that the Republic of Tea’s Peppermint Cuppa Chocolate should be. Read My Lips for the win!
Perfect blend of the peppermint and the chocolate, and a creamy undertaste that makes it feel like an indulgent and rich drink.
Yes! I may never be done trying new chocolate teas, but this is the frontrunner of the race so far. Yum. So glad that I picked this baby up.
Finally, an afternoon in close proximity to my kettle, and so I can have some afternoon tea!
I’ve never had a cup of darjeeling that was so floral before. I like it! Next time I make this I’m going to make some hot buttered toast to have with it, and have a proper afternoon tea.
This is good. I feel immedietly soothed and properly relaxed.
A million thank yous to Fuzzy_Peachkin, for going above and beyond the call of duty in sending me this.
Woke up with a somewhat upset stomach, but I have a lot to do today, so I needed a cup of tea to accomodate all of that.
Enter this sample I ordered from Harney with my most recent order.
I love love love ginger. To paint you a picture, when going out to sushi, I will eat all of my pickled ginger, and all of my boyfriends as well. Love ginger.
And this is gingery! Spicy an just the slightest bit sweet, which might be the lychee.
I’m not sure if I’ll order a full tin of this, but this morning it was just the right thing.
i do like this one.
