2970 Tasting Notes
My parents returned from a trip to Hawaii and brought me this tea. I LOVE this tea. Its light, and seems to sparkle across the palate, which may be a weird thing to say about black tea, but there you have it. Its got rose in it, but its amazingly subtle, and just turns into a light and delicious tea. The sad thing is that this tea is only available in Hawaii, and I am rapidly running out of this. Sadness. I will save my last couple of pots of Loke Lani for a special occasion.
Had a pot of this this morning. This is a lovely spice blend, the addition of the citrus keeps it from being too cloying, and too dark tasting. A night bright note in the middle of the earthy spices.
Shame its only out in the wintertime, but I’m nursing my supply along until then, so I don’t run out.
A tin of this was a gift from my boyfriend, who knows my love of tea, and also my love of Darjeeling. So when he returned with this expensive brew from Teavana, I was eager to try it.
Meh. Its a perfectly drinkable cup, but its nothing special, and is rather light for a Darjeeling.
Still, I will drink the rest of this, but I wont be heading out to get it myself.
I like Vanilla Almond. I can really taste the almond, which is a flavor that I love. I admit that I don’t get a very full vanilla flavor, but its got a sweetness to it. Like an almond croissant! I like a cup of this in the morning. It makes the coming day a little sweeter.
Ah. I like this. This is a no frills rose tea. I realize that its a polarizing topic, but I really like rose teas. And this one is as straightforward as a rose black can be. It has a soft and (yes) perfumy aftertaste. I like this, but I realize that its not everyones cup of tea. But on a cold and rainy morning (in June! What up, weather?) its just the right thing.
