drank Earl Grey Black by Teavana

these replaced Tazo
After the barista got it wrong (JUST BAG MEANS LATTE APPARENTLY), I had this.

The leaves seemed like okay quality, the strength was meh.
The ****ing tag fell off and the tea bag just sat there and bobbed like a sad submarine, sitting in the harbor, waiting for orders.

The flavor was MEH. then again they added so much cream, and some odd flavour like nutmeg (then again, I had to teach a barista how to make tea. I became sad at that.), it’s hard to say what the flavor was!

caffeine wise, it is very hard to say, as the hit of pure caffeine was hidden behind some ungodly amount of cream.

I had to make a cup of Tapal Danedar at the hotel room just to make sure I was awake.

All in all, not impressed.

THERE WAS ALMOST NO BERGAMOT. I’ve had teas that cost a fraction what I paid and they tasted 100 times better.

let’s get down to it:

Flavour: Sharp bergamot, rich, almost sweet.

It bites your tongue. It hits your mouth with a richness not seen in cheap teas.

Do Ghazal is good iced or hot.

why 75?
it’s rich, almost creamy, but leaves you hanging when you finish it, much like a missed high five.
It gives you caffeine, flavour, but not much else.

My favorite tea… Every morning I drank it, it felt great. It gave me the buzz I needed and made me very happy.

Then, it happened. Cheapening. Couldn’t believe it. MY YORKSHIRE? YORKSHIRE GOLD? LOWER QUALITY? Sadly, this is true.
I told myself, “it can’t be, no it can’t be.” And denied it. But, all good things come to an end.

Yorkshire, my love, you filled me with unimaginable happiness. You made me smile with every sip.
Now, you only make me tired.

Goodbye, Yorkshire, my dear. I knew you well.

Theatrics aside, flavour is flat, doesn’t have the kick, bags are much lower quality.
It just tastes bleh. I’ve moved to Tapal Danedar because its just so much smoother with the caffeine of Yorkshire.

drank Green Tea by Bigelow

Okay. Okay. Okay. Finally, after a few months of eyeing this tea in stores and having a bag sitting in a drawer, I tried it.
It’s a basic green tea, but that’s it. It was almost hard to stomach.

I’d highly recommend you use it in adding to drinks and smoothies if you wanted to add green tea to them. Don’t just drink it straight up.

Would I recommend it? Not at that price!

Get something more traditional. Green tea from a bag is just… WROOONG.

Quite a spicy one!
When I brewed it for the first time, it tickled my nose.

To be honest, the best thing you can do with this is add a bit of sugar, pop it in some popsicle makers, let it freeze and you got a good, cold summer snack!

When brewed, though, it was a bit too spicy for my tastes. I could barely taste the green tea.

A bit expensive for a tea to make popsicles with, but you could try to replicate the mixture and make a large batch. (luckily, I got it as a gift.)

Why does this have such a high rating.

It’s bland, it’s light, there’s almost no tea in the bag! freaking thing tastes like air.

It’s from the holy land, it has to be good, right? Wrong. it’s terrible.

don’t get it. ever.

Oh god, how is this soooo expensive.

The bag is absolutely terrible quality, the first bag I pulled out of the packet ripped on me and tea flew everywhere. All over the counter.

It’s cheap if you can find it in stores, but it’s freaking expensive on eBay. Then again, you’re buying from the Holy Land.

Flavor wise, it’s terrible. I’ve had better earl greys at gas stations that were generic. It’s weak, it’s light, it reminds me of drinking water with some flavour. I feel gross after drinking it.
Bergamot? What bergamot. it’s like they shoved it on the bag and just said “good enough”.

All in all, don’t get this crap.

drank English Tea No. 1 by Ahmad Tea

The flavor notes are light bergamot, pretty fruity, somewhat over run with ceylon tea, a rich tea. It feels not bad to drink in the afternoon/evening.

In the morning, I really didn’t like it. It felt really bad, it tasted off and I really didn’t like it. Then again, I’m an Assam guy in the morning, so there’s a big difference.

When I first tried it, I absolutely hated it. It tasted weak, and I was confused as to why my Iraqi friend liked it.
As time went on, I reeeeeeally began to enjoy it. Now it’s every day. Help.

All in all, if you’re gonna get a cheap bagged tea, this is a great choice. I’ve got 5 bags on me at all times.

Still going strong.
This is my go to afternoon tea and evening tea.

A correction: in the part where I said small cups, it’s not needed. small cups for a stronger cup, bigger cups for a lighter, more slow caffeine kick.

Either way, enjoy the Ahmad.

To be honest, this wasn’t half bad.
It steeped for a while and yet it was smooth.

It’s not strong, but it has a slight caffeine kick, like that of a can of coke.

If you’re wondering what size to get Starbucks for this tea, I’d recommend medium as it will make it less strong than the large with two bags. Eeeeeggghh.

Get some! It’s not bad as an afternoon to evening relaxing tea.

I don’t know who said this isn’t bitter, but it’s STRONG!

As a cheap tea, this is one of the best. I was initially wary, but the cheap price tag and the amount made me get it.

Flavor wise, it is FANTASTIC! When I go mineral collecting early in the morning, I brew a cup of this with a Ceylon tea and it is just FANTASTIC! Strong, smooth, will give you a boost and has a distinctly malty smell to it.

All in all, highly recommended for a morning tea when the early mornings await you and you have the morning “uuurrrrgggg uuuuhhhhh gguuurrrrrr” language.

Rocks, birds, plants, tea.

Literally me.

Mineral collector
Ornithology hobbyist
Wild flower know-it-all
Cheap tea connoisseur

My life is rather odd, clearing estates, running around to help people and still have enough time for a nice cuppa.

I’m changing peoples views on tea as fast as I can. It’s amazing when you tell someone “that’s tea!” and they look confused because they’re used to Lipton.

My favorite moment with that was at a mineral friends house. He had decaf Bigelow earl grey… Hell no, I whipped out Tapal Danedar and brewed it for a little bit. “that’s real tea.” I said. He was wired and bought a box.
