drank Gingerbread by DAVIDsTEA

Out of all of DAVIDsTEA’s holiday teas this year Gingerbread is by far my favorite. I know that most people prefer Alpine Punch, but it is Gingerbread that does it for me. This tea is absolutely perfect for those days that you just want to curl up with a book on a cold winter night. It is nice and flavorful, without being overpoweringly strong. If you love Gingerbread cookies then chances are that you’ll probably love this.

drank Sweet Strawberry by DAVIDsTEA

Back when I was first getting into tea I stuck mostly to Green tea and Black tea. When I started branching out Sweet Strawberry was the first White tea that I tried -and I loved it! I love White tea because of how mild it is -while still being extremely flavorful. And this tea is no exception, you can really taste the strawberry but it is not overpowering. All in all a lovely tea.

I quite enjoy this tea! Personally I love the flavor, I think its the perfect balance between lemony goodness and plain tea. Personally I find that it is nice and strong, and it is one of my favorite teas to drink iced. Definitely a re-purchase for me!

Can’t remember what you did last night? Is your head killing you? Does your mouth taste fuzzy? Is your stomach staging a rebellion? Well, then this is the tea for you. It doesn’t go down easily (it is quite bitter and not particularly good tasting) but it will definitely help you get rid of your hangover, and quickly! Although I hate the taste, I’ll definitely be repurchasing this one because of that fact that it really does help hangovers.

This tea is definitely not one of my favorites. It’s not bad, but I personally find it to be on the weaker side so I like to steep it for a few extra minutes. The chocolate flavor itself is alright, although I’m not a fan of the cinnamon -there isn’t quite enough to be tasty but there is just enough to leave an after taste. Not a bad tea, but not one that I would consider repurchasing. So overall I’m not sad that DAVIDsTEA retired this particular blend from their collection.

Blueberry Jam was one of the very first teas I bought from DAVIDsTEA, and I am so glad I did! In the last three months I have repurchased this tea eight times, and considering how many other teas I have in my collection its rare that I repurchase one particular tea that many times. This tea tastes exactly how it smells, so it you love blueberries then this is definitely the tea for you! I like to drink this tea black, it doesn’t need any help and tastes perfect on its own. I can’t go a full day without drinking this tea, it is definitely in my top 5 favorite teas list!

About Me
Hi! I’m a 24 year old University student that loves tea -obviously! I also love to read, I’m an English major so I guess that is a given. I may also be a bit of a shopaholic, but hey there are worse addictions right?

Tea
Growing up I hated tea, but when I turned 16 I went on a trip to Japan and fell in love with Green Tea -basically any type of green tea that I could get my hands on. For the following 7 years I stuck exclusively to straight green tea.

Then when I turned 23 a friend of mine got a job at David’s Tea and started pestering me to branch out and try some of their teas. And I am so glad I did! for the next year I tried (and bought) basically every tea David’s had to offer.

Then a couple weeks ago I stumbled across Steepster when I was search for recommendations on other tea brands to try. In the short time I’ve been on steepster I’ve been introduced to some amazing teas from brands all over the world, and some equally amazing people!

Tea Ratings

1 to 40 – I won’t even bother trying to drink this, I’ll just dump it out.

41 to 65 – I don’t like this. I’ll finish the cup because I don’t want to waste it, but I’ll probably be cringing while doing so. And I definitely won’t be repurchasing.

66 to 80 – I like this, I’ll recommend it to people, and at some point I’ll probably repurchase it.

81 to 100 – I am in love with this. Seriously, I’ll be repurchasing this before I’m even halfway through my current stash of it. In fact I love it so much I’ll probably force feed it to you until you love it as much as I do.
