Sooo this is the other tea I got in SD from this shop. The lady who was trying to help told me that this tea is a mix between their Irish Breakfast, another Vanilla Black tea, and then this Strawberry tea. Which seemed like an odd combo. But how she described it, it sounded sooo good!
This was one of the only samples I could actually somewhat taste since she couldn’t for the life of her actually brew up tea in the right way. She made me about 5 different samples and they were ALL extremely bitter. It was seriously awful. So so hard to choose when everything is made wrong and tastes horrible.
They had a lot of teas combined with jasmine there that I so wanted to try, but because the samples were all the same bitter/roasted flavor, I had to take a pass. :(
This one I felt safe buying though Since I love Irish Breakfast/Irish Cream teas for the most part anyway. Hate hate hate English Breakfast tea, but Irish…Irish does it right!
So anyway.
Finally got around to trying this tea while putting together some tea swaps.
Brewed right it actually was a quite light Irish Cream. It was kinda creamy and sweet-and had that malty flavor I love in Irish Cream teas! So yeah, I definitely do not regret buying this one! :D
But can’t say that I tasted all the other teas the chick mentioned in it. Especially the strawberry one haha!

So, I’ve been looking for more chamomile teas lately, just because they help with calming my body. But so far I’ve only found a few incredible ones that I just love!
I was sooo hoping that I’d love this one too.
I’ve read a mixture of notes-some mention mango being the main flavor, others mention orange being the main flavor, which is my nemesis in the tea world. D:
When I opened the bag all I smelled was oranges…even as I steeped it That’s all I smelled. But I didn’t let up hope yet!
I still kept thinking it wouldn’t be the dominant flavor.
When I finally went to drink it, it took me a while to know if I actually liked it or not. I could taste the sour chamomile, which is hardly hidden in any chamomile tea so that didn’t bother me. I could taste mango too, which was nice. But yup…the main flavor was, indeed, orange. So so citrus-y. It was horrible. Couldn’t finish the cup. :(
I mean, I think part of me knew it was gonna turn out this way, but it was still very sad for me. :( Without the orange flavoring it would have been fantastic, but no. They had to go screw it up and make it Orange Lassi instead of Mango Lassi. :(
Oh well…I guess that gives me less reason to wanna buy from them, which is good. But stiilll. Off to the selling list it goes!

The second new sample I got with that last order was this tea. I originally presented my adorable puppy with these samples and asked him which one I should try. He smelled the peach one and then smelled this one and licked the package twice. Clearly he chose the better of the two! XD
This one tastes like a mix of Hot Tropic and their Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait. Because the Colada part was totally spot on, just like Hot Tropic. The strawberry tasted pretty sour like the sourness in Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait. So that was a bummer. I think I mainly like the Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait is because it has enough flavors to balance out the sourness.
But yeah, the sourness almost over-took the colada part in this tea, but overall it was actually pretty good.
Least the first steep was.
The second steep barely held up at all.
This is an incredibly weak tea. While the first steep is good I wouldn’t waste money on buying it. Maybe the iced tea version would be better, but I’m not really into that…so yeah :S Anywho.
I did enjoy the first steep, just was disappointed by the second :( Oh well.
Guess it gives me more motivation to save money…at least on tea. xD

So I got two new samples from the DavidsTea order they screwed up and while I’m still a little annoyed at them, I finally decided to try the two new samples of them.
So first off, I LOVE a good peach tea. Best one I’ve found so far was from Lupicia. It’s just ughhh soo good.
But that’s about all I’ve found so far.
So I was kinda curious about this tea. The dry leaf scent was like a super juicy peach, so I kinda had hoped it would be better.
But.
No.
When I began drinking it, I almost spit it out again. Seriously one of the worst DavidsTea teas I’ve ever had, which isn’t really saying much since I don’t like too many of their teas overall, but still!
You wouldn’t think peach flavor would be so hard to do, but it just tasted like I put a bunch of weirdly flavored sugar at the bottom of my mug, put hot water in it, waited for it to disolve, and then I was drinking it.
Didn’t have peaches in it at all! Not juicy or anything-nothing like how it smelled! :(
This tea was a huge fail in my book.
Artificial flavorings don’t usually bug me, as long as the tea tastes good, I don’t really give a crap about what it has it in to be honest. But like…this one was wayyyy too fake.
I can’t believe it has such a high rating on here.
Though…I don’t do iced teas, unless it’s like snapple or I’m drinking the peach iced tea at Olive Garden which is the TOTAL bomb! I did this one hot. I guess if you are into iced tea then this one might be better.
But just don’t steep it hot. Because it’s just awful. Wow XD

Sooo overslept this morning because my mum didn’t set my alarm clock right…it was her’s for the longest time but ever since she gave it to me, it’s like she has forgotten how to set it because she keeps not setting it. Was a horrible night anyway and needed sleep, but still disappointed at the late start of today though :(
I took my second doses of pain killers and have been waiting for them to kick in so I can shower without feeling like I’m gonna collapse. So while I’ve been waiting I’ve been trying to do things off my to-do list today. And I’m still exhausted from not sleeping well at all last night and depressed from just everything that’s happened this last week. Not really in a happy smiley mood today considering everything.
But my mum just walked in and told me that I can’t deal with things like this and I needed to have a counselor because I can’t handle certain things in life.
I kept telling her I was waiting for pain killers to kick in but weren’t at that point. Little did she know I was actually still accomplishing things even in bed.
Ahh living with your parents really sucks sometimes, especially when you don’t have anywhere else to go :( There’s been lots of drama with the boyfriend this weekend, and they don’t know that….But honestly, I don’t feel like trying to fight her on anything today. I’m too tired on all the levels.

Sooo I brewed up some of this tea that always is comforting on really bad days/mornings/afternoons. Don’t think this one will ever get old, it’s just simply delicious. I just need to drink a crap load of tea today and not let my mum get to me because she doesn’t really know how I handle bad days all the time anyway.
GHD will always be such a comforting tea to me.
Might not always have my family or parents on my side but I at least have tea that doesn’t judge me or look down on me or question how I handle things. That’s nice at least!
Well I hear my family getting food ready, this would be agood time to escape to the shower now that I can get out of bed and avoid my mum for right now!

Have been really wanted to try this one for a while now! 52Teas is soo hit or miss with me, though more misses than hits. :(
Loved their Maple Cheesecake oolong that they had at one point. And the cheesecake in that was spot on, as well as the maple flavor!
Sooo I had some faith in this one.
Didn’t really live up to expectations, but I’m not surprised. But I mean, it’s not nearly as bad as other teas from this company I’ve had in the past.
I taste some kiwi and creaminess-so that was kinda spot on-but neither of those were the main notes I tasted. There was a really strong banana flavor in it too. Wish kinda tasted odd with the sour kiwi taste. xD So yeah, it’s a really weird banana/kiwi creamy tea to me I guess. xD
Not a bad purchase. I really hate how tiny they made the packages and like it;s such a rip off, but since it’s 50% off and a “closing” sale in a way, I figured why not!
Got a few teas and it was all around cheap! :D

So so far it’s not that bad considering I like one tea so far. I am excited to try the others. Hopefully sometime this week!
But yeah, drank two full mugs of this tea yesterday. Need to get back into more drinking…and eating. Stupid health issues and depression :( Anyway, the goal for today at least is to drink lots of teas!

Sooo this was the first tea place I went to into San Diego, apparently the “number One” tea shop there. xD
I think over-all it was a good experience. Got to smell all the teas which was nice, and they offered samples for whatever. BUT.
But. They kept steeping the teas out of the same freakin’ steeper or tea maker or whatever it was because we tried maybe, what, 5 samples? And the first was a roasted oolong….and I had asked her if it was and she said it wasn’t, so I who had just woken up from our car ride agreed when she offered to make it. Turns out she had NO idea what the difference from a green and like roasted oolong is-I don’t think the other is called “roasted oolong”. But that’s just what I remember it as because only green oolongs have floral notes to me. So like if you know if it’s not called just “roasted oolong”, please tell me so maybe next time I can be more clear xD
Anyway, so first sample tasted all roasty and I didn’t like it of course, and the samples following just kept getting more and more burnt tasting. Like…It’s cool they wanna make samples there, and let you try a lot. But they need to do it right, wouldn’t have minded waiting a while if I could have gotten the real flavor from the teas! XD
So only ended up with two. An Irish Cream one that smelled really good and that was apparently a mix of two other teas I smelled that also smelled amazing and this tea. Haven’t been overly fond of minty chamomile teas for some reason, but this one has worked-don’t know how but it just really really has!
It smelled sooo good in the container-though half the time when I open the pouch at home it tastes like weed, and it grosses me out so much. xD So I like can’t smell the dry leaf. I just gotta brew it up and drink it because then it tastes good! But yeah. Oy.
I liked how it had a really strong like peppermint flavor but also a really strong chamomile flavor; the combo was just really good.
I got 2oz of it, and since I gotta go back up there to see the dr guy again for for a check up in three months so maybe if I really really end up loving it I’ll pick up more!
Even though the chick who I was talking to there didn’t know that much about tea it felt like, and even though she made consistently horrible samples for us, she was quite nice, just like most people in SD, which seemed really odd because CA has like the reputation for “not being friendly” though I definitely consider La to be way friendlier than the city I live in that’s like 20 minutes away from HollyWood. So yeah I dunno.
Anyway, It’s been a super rough week emotionally mainly and my intense pain added to that just makes me want to get shot in the head…so…yeah, this tea has been rather comforting.
I think what would make it even better though is like a hint of licorice. I don’t know why but that just sounds like it would be really good, at least to me!
Anywho, I’d definitely recommend going there if any of you guys are ever in SD!

For some reason I totally keep forgetting to write this tasting note…probably because It was a massive disappointment. xD
I was expecting it at the very least to just be a normal jasmine tea. But no.
It hardly tasted like jasmine. They went superrr light on the jasmine and it was mainly just grass flavor. Which is why I don’t drink green teas since I don’t like grass flavors. xD
So yeah, this one was awful. Jasmine Butterfly WAYYYYY better! One of the best Jasmine teas of all time in my book. At least so far! So like a year and a half in officially :P
Anywho, Liquid Proust sent me such a generous sample of this one which was so sweet-and thank you soo much for that! Really was very nice of you. But this one wasn’t my cup of tea…soo yeah. :/ Donut worry though! I will try my best to find a good home for it when I can!

So the last couple times I had this tea it didn’t taste that great for some reason-it was the same with DavidsTea’s Birthday Cake too. Like around the same time. Don’t know if it was a med I was on or what but it tasted like just wood, water, and sugar. Lots of sugar. xD
But this week I’ve given this one another try since I got this one sometime last summer, so it’s one of my oldest teas that I must sip down!
Think I got about maybe 3oz or so left?
I’ve drank this one a couple times over the weekend and then again today-and holy shanghai! That’s the Red Velvet Delight I remember! :D :D Super stoked that it tastes right again! This has been a favorite and I’d have hated to waste it :(

So freakin’ good. If Della Terra Teas for sure re-opens and this tea is available, hopefully they’ve not changed it-because like I said in another tasting note-trying to find other teas that are just as good as the ones from DT because I keep getting crappy CS. Sooo I need replacements xD
Anywho! This one will do for now! Kinda curious to try Birthday Cake now though since this one tastes like I remember, maybe Birthday Cake will too?
But then they’ll just suck me back in..oy.

So.
We were at Target yesterday and I really really wanted to get more of that chamomile from Celestial Seasonings that I just finished off because I really liked it.
But I went with this and the peach tea from Celestial Seasonings instead because I just wanted to try them once and now that my sister is living with us…she apparently likes tea, and since they aren’t really close to me and they have like the family tea cupboard in the kitchen I figured they’d like these ones.
I really never thought I’d like a Lipton tea. That’s like one of my least favorite brands. Maybe I’ve just tried all the wrong things from them, I don’t know.
But when I saw that it had dragon fruit AND melon I HAD to try no matter what brand!
Unless it’s adagio…then it’s a slightly different story xD
The dragonfruit and melon combo was actually kinda great. I can’t believe other better companies haven’t paired these flavors before! I love dragonfruit and melon teas for the most part, and ughh that mix.
It’s definitely not the best tea ever,but I will for sure keep this one in my stash and finish it off-it’s actually……..

I know, me saying a Lipton tea is good. Crazy, huh? XD Next I’ll find a good Adagio tea. xD Imagine that haha wow! Well the tea world constantly is surprising me! :P
And I am not going to be ashamed that I liked a Lipton tea…least for now… :P
