737 Tasting Notes
Tried this one earlier this morning. Wasn’t totally expecting to like it since the majority of flavors it lists on here don’t appeal to me all that much for the most part. So I wasn’t overly disappointed by not liking it.
The taste reminded me mainly of wood and an almost leathery taste. It was so so strong. I wasn’t expecting it to be that strong. I know I didn’t over-steep it, so no idea what on earth went wrong. Or if that’s just how it is.
But definitely not my cuppa. Anyway, thank you so much for the sample, Nicole!
Flavors: Leather, Wood

So, I’ve been wanting to try this again since I am searching for more decaf teas. Darby graciously sent me a sample in our last swap! :D
The first time I over-steeped it (of course >>), by like 4 minutes so it was super sour. Drank it down anyway and then re-steeped.
It was MUCH better!
The strawberry and yogurt flavors were creamy and meshed together so well. It was so naturally sweet and flavorful. It really was done well.
The only problem I have is that I’m scared to buy some because I’m not a huge strawberry fan. I like the yogurt and cream flavors. That makes it so much better. I’m just not sure I would want a 50g bag of it, even though I really really wanna love it. Does that make sense? Probably not…
Maybe I will just have to get it for my frequentsteeper points…If they actually let me cash those in haha!
Anyway, it’s a really good tea, I just need to love strawberries more, and it would be a staple in my collection probably! At least for some time!
Thanks for the sample, Darby!
Flavors: Cream, Creamy, Sour, Strawberry, Sweet, Yogurt
Licorice and Peppermint.
I never thought that those two would mix.
When Rosehips sent me a sample of it, and I smelled the tea bags, I still wasn’t sure. But man was I wrong!
Those two flavors together made for an excellent cup! I can’t even explain how amazing it was! I wouldn’t consider myself a huge fan of either of those flavors alone, but I haven’t had many teas with those flavors in them. I really never could imagine they would mix so well.
PLUS! It’s a chamomile!
I desperately wish that I had tried this before all of this tea was sold out. Now I have to wait a whole ‘nother year to get more of this tea! I’m so sad! Thankfully Rosehips was so generous and gave me three tea bags. I will savor the two I have left!
I seriously had such a horrible day yesterday, and an even worse night. This tea was seriously the best part of my entire day last night. It helped me relax and actually smile and feel a little happier inside.
Ahh! I’m just so happy to have gotten to try this! And it really did cheer me up some last night. And writing this makes me smile because I’m really happy that I still have two more tea bags left! I should save them for the really bad days so they will help me feel more relaxed and a bit happier! (: I can’t wait till Next Christmas to get more!
Thank you, Rosehips!! I’m so excited and happy about this tea! :D
Flavors: Licorice, Peppermint, Smooth, Sweet
Mmm, I know what you mean about liquorice and peppermint! It sounds really odd, but they work so well together as a tea! I’ve never tried this particular one, but the Teapigs one is ace :-)
You know…I actually like this tea. It tastes like plums. I don’t even like real plums that much, and I don’t think I’ve ever really liked a plum tea before. But this one surprised me. I might not have steeped it long enough, but it was light and fruity. I know that there were other flavors, but the main flavor I picked out was plum.
This one surprised me. Not only because it tasted like plums, but also because I liked that It tasted like plums. XD That’s a new one for me!
I Don’t know if I would buy more than the sample I already have, but it’s just a really interesting tea. Wasn’t expecting it to be good since I haven’t had much luck with What-Cha teas sadly. :( Glad I liked this one though. Definitely interesting.
I am happy I tried this one!
Flavors: Fruity, Plum
The steeping aroma of this tea is pretty much all apples and nothing else. And the taste is almost all mango and nothing else. xD
Kinda odd how drastically that cup changed on me, but as an apple hater, I’m glad it did!
This one is alright. I like the mango flavor in it. But it’s not very sweet. I’m sure you are supposed to add sugar but since I never add anything to my tea, it just tastes kinda bland to me. Not what I would drink again. I really want to find a good juicy mango tea that doesn’t need sweetener…Well…Guess I should say another, because Lupicia’s version is pretty good, and the best mango tea I’ve found so far! But would be nice to have another good one that’s less expensive. xD
Anyway, thank you for the sample, Darby!
Flavors: Apple, Mango
Yeah, another tea that just tastes roasty to me. But this one is not as bad as all the other roasty teas I’ve had. I think that if I ever get off the floral kick I’m currently on and go back to roasty oolongs, I’d end up really liking this one. It’s not too overwhelming or anything. It’s a roastiness that I can live with. xD And that I’d end up really liking.
I’m happy to have gotten to try it!
Thank you so much for the sample, The Cookie Lady!
Flavors: Roasted
Another one that reminds me of horses….D:
There’s a slight sweet potato flavor going on, but not enough to make me really like it. Really wanted to like it though :/ What a shame. Oh well. Maybe What-Cha is not for me :S
Flavors: Sweet Potatoes
Okay, this is the first What-Cha tea sample of the day that I actually kinda like. It’s different. Didn’t really know what to expect, but it’s pretty good.
It’s pretty malty, which is weird since it’s a white tea. Kinda expected it to taste like hay and have a really light flavor. But I taste malt, which makes me feel like I’m drinking a black tea. :O
I don’t know if I like it or not. I have mixed feelings.
I can’t pick out the other flavor. It’s malty and something else. Not bad. I look forward to sipping down the rest of this one and figuring out what I think of it. It’s definitely one of the best white teas I’ve had so far. xD
Flavors: Malt
And this one just tasted like leather and ink.XD Wow, I am one picky tea drinker. I have really really off taste buds clearly 0_0
Flavors: Leather
Aw, I’m sorry this wasn’t your thing. Right now this one is on my list of deserted island teas. :)
