Super fine mesh great for brewing rooibos and CTC black tea. It easily fits in almost all of my mugs.

Best way to describe this Rooibos is liquid cinnamon hearts! Super sweet tea that I used for iced tea yet the tea doesn’t list any sugar or stevia etc in the ingredients. Very different from other Rooibos teas that I have had. The lady at Winstons brewed me a sample of it. I found it was so different I had to get some. The fact that it was naturally sweet and such a strong cinnamon flavour was a selling feature for me. When I make this as iced tea I have to mix it with a bit of decaf black tea to cut down on the sweetness. I don’t really measure it but I would say 1 part of the decaf black to 2 or 3 parts Marketspice tea. Very different but good.

Well haven’t tried many new teas lately but have been having lots of iced tea. This tea is really nice iced. We add a bit of honey or agave then put the jug in the fridge and just before serving lemon juice or slices is added to the tea. So refreshing!

Oh my picked up a small amount of this when I went shopping today.
Smells like coconut banana cream pie.
Made this like a latte with a mix of unsweetened coconut milk and skim milk and sweetened with a bit of agave.
A super nice dessert tea with a hint of banana and coconut.

Wow!!! So nice :) subtle blend of toasty rice flavour with the laoshan black tea. So glad I ordered this…it is such a nice blend.

Thank you Stacy for this sample. I brewed according to the suggested parameters of 4mins. A very nice black tea! I don’t have a refined enough palate to explain or tell the difference between this and some other black teas I have tried:(
It has such good review here that I thought I would be able to taste the differences but I can’t :(
Will have to try some more of this later on in my tea “journey”
All in all a very nice cup of tea though!

Mmm thanks teavivre for the sample. Very neat looking tea pearls.
I used 4 pearls for the cup. Loved the slightly smokey toasty type flavour. Have enough pearls in my pack for one more small cup:)

This was the tea that I was trying to compare the French Blend to. This is a classic Earl Grey tea with well balanced lavender notes. Never thought I’d like lavender in tea, however I have had lavender shortbread cookies that I quite liked so why not tea too! I much prefer this simple addition of lavender into their Earl Grey to the more complex French Blend I tried yesterday.

Ok so I guess I am not a huge fan of florals. I like chinese Jasmine on it’s own, and earl grey but this is one interesting tea! I bought some of this to compare to the Versailles Earl Grey that Tea Time did for my niece. It seems to have way too many flavours going on for me to really enjoy this blend. Sometimes I taste Earl grey sometimes jasmine and sometimes I guess the lavender or rose. Wow quite different, not gross or anything but not quite my thing either. Not sure if this will grow on me…maybe I have to develop my palate more.

ETA: as the tea cooled down a bit the flavours balanced out and blended together better. I’ll have to remember to let it cool a bit before I drink it next time.

I’ve been really enjoying this tea straight lately. Today I decided that since the sun is out plus the fact that I brewed a pot of this in the morning and no one else wanted it, I put the rest in the fridge for iced tea so it wouldn’t go to waste. It’s very nice as a cold drink too, flavours are more mild though; but very thirst quenching!

I am pretty new to trying different types of loose leaf teas. Growing up we only ever had Chinese restaurant tea or bagged orange pekoe. Later on I tried genmai cha at the Japanese restaurants and added that permanently to my tea cupboard.

So far, I like oolongs and black. Most often I drink straight teas but I do like some flavoured ones as long as they don’t taste fakey or chemically. I would like to try more greens, whites and more Rooibos’ as well as anything that doesn’t have caffeine in it to add to my cupboard.

An attempt at a rating system:
90-100 worthy of being permanently stocked in my cupboard
80-89 great tea would love to have in my tea cupboard but probably in smaller quantities
70-79 very nice tea but I don’t necessarily have to have it
60-69 will drink it but not choose to stock it
50-59 prefer not to drink it unless it is all I have
<50 total miss for my tastes
