I AM IN LOVE! Thank you thank you thank you Stephanie for this very generous amount in our swap:) I have FINALLY SUCCESSFULLY made my first matcha latte. I always had a lot of trouble of making matcha, but not this time! :D I used my ninja pulse single serve blender to make a foamy iced latte/Frappe out of this and it was so good. It is crazy how such a tiny serving of this goes a LONG ways. It so intriguing that this is a WHITE Matcha. It has a tad bit more natural sweetness to it than your average green Matcha. Anyways thank you again for this I will be savoring this and eventually hope to invest in some myself. But not being in the position for a while to buy tea:( Until then, my swap quantity will have to do:)

Stephanie

Glad I sent you a pretty large sample!!! I have a Ninja too and I LOVE it! Perfect for single serve smoothies :)

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Have u made matcha in it yet?

Stephanie

Actually, no! Gonna have to now ;)

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Let me know what u did and how it turned out:)

Still going through my swap with Stephanie. I spotted this last night and set it out so I would have it for breakfast this morning and that I did. After I let is steep and cool a little bit I sipped it and could instantly pick out the malt flavor. I thought why not add some sweetener and milk. It created the creaminess if a chocolate malt shake. Even though I could nit quite find the chocolate in it, I will not give up. It might be that i could not find cacao nibs in my sample. I will have to try again. And Stephanie… you are a gem for always going through my shopping list and adding from that what you have :) thank you!

Stephanie

:D did you get a nice caffeine jolt from the Yerba mate?

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Ha ha yessss!!! I cleaned the whole entire house!!!

I’m going through my swap with Stephanie and I stumbled upon this GEM. It was on my shopping list hoping it would be reblended soon but no need. Behold my “tea-mule” has got me hooked on another tea. Loving this! You can totally taste the cheesecakey-ness in this tea. I added a little sugar and cream and Whah-LAH there is the creaminess of the coconut as well! Thank you Stephanie!!!!

Stephanie

Glad you liked this one!!!

Another Sample from a swap from Stephanie. I had this one for breakfast. It was a nice subtle tea. I really enjoyed it. I got 4 beautiful steeping’s out of it and then remembered I had many more teas to get through. It was a nice tea to experience. Thank you Stephanie.

This was a sample from the lovely Stephanie. I don’t know about this one. I’m not getting the coconut, and that is a shame because I am a COCONUT LOVER! Its a nice green. Nice and toasty. And maybe there is that hint of coconut but not that creaminess that I was looking for maybe. It’s not terrible by any means, just maybe not one I would keep in my cupboard. I will definitely finish this sample up though! Thank You!

I cannot remember who I got this one from. I know I got it from a swap though. HA HA. Maybe KallieBoo ? Anyways… this one went on my shopping list right away. I love the mixture not only mint and chocolate but green tea too? Mind Blown. I have yet to find a Butiki Tea that doesn’t blow my mind. Yet another great experience from one of Stacy’s blend. Thank you to whoever I received this from. Ha Ha I just wish I had more than one cup worth. This is a major back log too. I had this last week… I haven’t been logging lately because I have been super sick and super busy with work.

Stephanie

It was me!!! There is no green tea in it btw, it’s an herbal! Mint leaf and marshmallow leaf :D

Stephanie

Btw, sick? Aww feel better!

keychange

Also hope you feel better soon. And I’m definitely getting a sample of this with my next order. I can’t wait to try it!

BrewTEAlly Sweet

@Stephanie Ha ha it was? I couldn’t figure it out? was it from the most recent one or our last one?
Ha ha oh really? Ha ha i guess I should have looked it up before I read it. I was in a not so good state of mind and all groggy when I had this and steeped it. It was very good. YUMMY!

BrewTEAlly Sweet

And thank you to both of you. I had the stomach flu. I got it from being overly stressed and over worked:/ and now my body is paying the price

JustJames

nope! i am NOT getting this until probably december: student loan, school, BUDGET!!! and i have already stocked up (i’m a hoarder when i perceive an incoming deficit), but i will add it to my shopping list. i am trying very hard to be good. lol…

BrewTEAlly Sweet

@JustJames HA HA Aren’t we all.

Stephanie

I forget which swap it was, but it was re-gifted because I got it from another Steepsterite! Just wasn’t my thang. Glad you enjoyed :)

BrewTEAlly Sweet

I had this with my breakfast this morning. I was very intimidated with it at first by the smell. But, I bought it for a reason so I went with it. This tea would be a great tea for when you are sick or want a soothing tea after a long day. The spearmint actually contributes to that aspect. The marshmallow root adds a touch of sweetness. It definitely has a “MISTY” flavor. I don’t know what to call it or how to describe it, besides…. misty. ha ha. As it cooled, I enjoyed it even more. I feel like green teas have that effect though. As they cool, the taste comes off stronger. All in all this is a good 52teas choice. :)

I have not really been on here all week. I am working 15 hours days and have been so exhausted. I have a lot of backlogging to do now.

Anyways, I got this in the mail yesterday and I now understand what all the ranting and raving was about! I am in love with this tea. This is definitely a staple in my cupboard. Like a LBD, but just the “little perfect tea.” You can almost taste the flakiness of the brioche. The butter, the almonds, just truly decadent. You have this anytime of the day any time of the year. Thank you steepsters for talking this tea up. I have found a soulmate. There is nothing at all wrong with this tea. THE PERFECT TEA. Seeing as I am a baker, I find this tea to be a great addition to my life. Enjoying the carbs without actually having to intake them! ha ha

American Tea Room

Thanks for the great review – and you can be the first to know we will be debuting a caffeine free version of Brioche soon….Be on the lookout for Brioche Free – all the decadent taste of Brioche – but perfect for just before bedtime.

ashmanra

Hmmm, I may have to take a look at this!

Stephanie

Oooooh I want to try

ifjuly

totally agree about the baker thing. the aroma is extremely evocative of all those smells you get baking, including—yes!—the butter and almonds and flakiness, all of it.

Another Verdant Tea that I will definitely have to bulk up on. I absolutely love everything about this tea. I drank it over and over today. I lost count of the steeps because i kept it in my tea press travel mug and just kept filling it back up during the day as I ran errands and adventured in Morro Bay with my boyfriend and roommate. The first steep this morning at home in my tribal print mug was thick. It threw me off, but the all spice notes I picked up right away and then the honey notes peeked through. This was a very full tea. The second steeping I picked up the cinnamon and clove. I love love love it. This tea was a spicy on but a spice that I could tolerate seeing as I fell in love with this one!!!! Its a very comforting tea. Its like drinking an image of being wrapped up in a warm fuzzy blanket relaxing by a fire or overlooking scenery from a mountain top cabin. :)

TeaKlutz

I’ve been curious about this tea! I’m plotting a Verdant sample binge sometime in the near future, and this one’s definitely on my list.

Hi! I am a 20 year-old from Salinas, California. I attended school in Monterey and played softball for my JC. I recently moved to San Luis Obispo, CA where I got a job as a full time baker and I LOVE my job! I have always loved to bake and cook since I was young and actually started my own cupcake business in highschool to help pay for my senior year as well as pay my way through college. Once I moved my cupcake business was put on hold, but I still love what I’m doing now. I love to work with children and hope to transfer soon to a college for child development or family psychology. I would also love to go to culinary school! I have a lot of things I want to do and am determined to do them! I am a huge tea enthusiast. I love to read about tea. Learn about tea. Make tea. Drink tea. Taste new flavors.

I am also very big on reading and always enjoy a good read. If you ever have any reccomendation never be afraid send it my way!

I am really excited to be a part of this tea community and can’t wait to trade tips, teas, recipes and treats!
