Yes, to this tea. It’s like a malty Assam married a Black Dragon pearl tea, and this is their child. It is one I would enjoy everyday. Just tasty, good balance of everything involved. Someone else said it didn’t have depth, and I don’t agree. If you like Assams, but don’t want astringency, this is your dream tea!

This tea is very forgiving. I forgot about it while gong fuing it, and it was lovely as ever, not bitter! Not a milky as some I have had…though those probably had artificial ingredients. Beautiful full leaves. I like this tea on lazy days since Milk Oolongs have such a rebrewing power. I go for 10 rebrews. Saw another reviewer for 12!

Decent green tea. This is my first experience with purple tea. I’m a big Prince fan, so anything purple will be purchased by me.

I got two brews out of it. I really really like Assam coming from the Kenya region, and I was interested in trying this varietal. It was different, can’t really say it’s like Japanese, Indian, Chinese green tea. It’s on its own. There’s no astringency. Not a bad cup. Though I have a leaning towards Japanese fukamushi, so that’s the type of greens I go to most.

It was nice to try, and I am looking forward to trying the white and oolong from the same tea grower!!!!

EDIT: I have to up this. After it cools just a tad after brewing, the flavor comes out to play more. It livens up!

I got this as a free sample in my Mariage Freres tea purchase. It’s Darjeeling with a kiss of yuzu flavoring. This is my first Darjeeling I have have had that’s flavored. I drank this iced, since I prefer Darjeeling iced. It seems to bring out the muscatel more.

It’s medium level astringent. It brewed to be a deep white wine color. Yuzu is at a very delicate level. I have been brewing most the Mariage Freres teas at 2 minutes, rather than 4 minutes. I like keep the astringency at bay. They recommended 4 minutes for this tea, but I don’t think it would of done well.

Mellow, medium level of astringency. I liked the brew I got from 3 minutes and 30 seconds, and water that’s just shy of boiling best. If you want more astringency, do 4+ minutes. Delicate sweetness. Again, What-cha has a tea with “raisin” in the flavor profile that’s tasty!

This tea has a briskness like an Assam or Ceylon would have. Though a medium level. Makes for an excellent everyday morning tea.

With my hair, I am wash and go. For most days, with my tea, I am brew and go. My job at the time I wouldn’t have time to even brew tea on the premise, so I would need make a huge thermos. No time or place for gong fu.

At first with this tea, I brewed it western style. I wasn’t a fan of the tea, the flavor profile many were writing about was muddled. The next day I made time to try it gong fu. It was like a whole new tea! I tasted everything. The honey, the warmth, slightly sweet. I guess I got into a pattern of just always brewing my tea western, and always feeling rushed to do so. I try to always have oolong around the house to force me to gong fu.

I preferred this oolong to the Red Buffalo from What-cha. But gong fu all the way, no western brewing for this.

Excellent!!!! I have tried many Golden Monkey tea, and my search is complete. This is the best I’ve tried. The Fujian region never disappoints me for tea. My favorite silver needle comes from here. As another one noted, this tea is the perfect everyday tea. But I will have to stretch it out until there’s more of this tea(What-cha is out of stock at the moment). It’s just tasty, slight malt, no astringency.

When I drink this tea, I want baklava. One of the baklava recipes I made strictly used orange blossom. This tea would of been perfection with it. This tea was meant to enjoy with a sweet. It’s good on its own, a nice balance of flavoring, good black tea base. Seriously, make and purchase baklava, and brew a pot of this tea, and enjoy.

drank Strawberry Green Tea by Kusmi Tea

I have a thing for strawberry teas. I am sure I have a bunch of past reviews on teas with this flavoring.

This tea seemed promising for me, green tea + summery berry sweetness. I got this to strictly make iced tea with. The green tea base was just ok. It’s Chinese green, and it’s very mellow. The green tea base with the strawberry flavoring was strange to me. Maybe since I am more used to berries with black tea, that’s why? I will have no problem drinking this down, but I don’t think I would buy again.

I think most the teas I drink are 80% iced, but on some days, it’s opposite that, especially days off! I can’t believe it took me this long to try different teas. Better now than never!
