drank Pumpkin Chai by DAVIDsTEA

I was so happy when I saw this one back online for like 24 hours. I jumped on the occasion and bought 250g which I’ve shared with a friend.

This is the first tea I’ve tried from David’s Tea (and now that I think of it, it might have been my first loose leaf tea experience ever… yep, I really think it was) and I instantly fell in love with it. The smell, the taste, the little pumpkin candy. Amazing. It’s perfect.

Backlog from last night. I caved and bought 100g of this because I thought it was so good when I tried it in store. I received it yesterday and had a cup almost immediately. I was so surprise : it was even better than it was in store !

This time I could really taste the orange, and mixed with cinnamon and the other spices it is just amazing. I guess what I tasted in store was the end of the batch because when I got to the bottom of the cup it tasted mostly cinnamon and was very sweet. I’m upping the rating because with the sweet orange thrown in the mix it just got perfect!

Flavors: Cinnamon, Cloves, Orange Zest

This is not bad, but I expected way more maple flavour. I only get black tea, and then in the aftertaste a general sweetness that could be maple. I would love to try it with some added maple syrup, but my boyfriend and I finished it last week with some pancakes, so no more maple syrup for me :(

I just added a bit of brown sugar, but it doesn’t change much.

Backlogging from last night. After a very intense and yet relaxing yoga session, I had a cup of this while taking a bubble bath. Oh god, it was amazing ! I couldn’t log the tea after that because I went straight to sleep. And I don’t know if the tea had any effect or if it was just a coincidence, but I had a very good night’s sleep. And I have had a lot of trouble sleeping lately, so if this tea is the answer then I’ll buy more that’s for sure!

As for the taste, I’m not exactly sure what I could detect. Certainly peppermint, and maybe a vague lemon flavour. But anyway I thought it tasted exactly like what something that will put you to sleep should taste like!

Mmmm. I like this quite a lot.

The smell is actually more intense than the taste, but I can still taste a lot of pear, which is way better than anything else pear-flavoured I’ve tried. Great!

Now I’m enjoying this while watching American Horror Story alone in the dark. I’m so NOT going to sleep tonight.

When I went to David’s Tea last Saturday I decided to get pretty much every tea that had lemon in it. I loooove lemon and was looking for the best lemon tea ever (which I think I have found in Coco-Lemon Thai even though it’s not just lemon it’s also coconut and creaminess and decadence and ok I won’t get started on this one again, god I love it!) Naturally I could not ignore something called “La la lemon”.

I’m happy I got to try it but I care for it much. Even though I had this one hot, the taste was exactly the same as unsweetened Lipton’s Brisk iced tea, which I’m not a fan of. I put some sugar in it (something I very rarely do with tea), and then it tasted exactly like the sweetened version of Lipton’s Brisk iced tea.

All in all, not something I would re-purchase, but I think I’ll be able to enjoy a cup once in a while and finish my 25g bag. I still have a lot of other lemon teas to try ! :)

drank Peach Bloom by DAVIDsTEA

Sooo pretty. My colleague brought some blooming tea at work this morning along with his glass teapot so we could drink it all day and feel better ! It was such an amazing idea. We started with the strawberry one, and then this one. Both were so great to look at, but I liked the strawberry flavour better. This one doesn’t really taste like peach. Well the peach is there, but it’s more like a very far away aftertaste. Sort of. But I’m still enjoying it, especially since I can’t drink any tea from my timolino today because it’s all tainted and the tea tastes awful. I need to find a way to wash it thoroughly. I’ve read about using baking soda and vinegar and I’ve tried it during my lunch hour but I will need to do it again. Do any of you guys have any other particular trick that could help me ?? I’m desperate here :( I need my tea at work !

Wow, so pretty ! One of my colleagues brought this to work today so we could share it. That was so nice of him. I loooved looking at his glass teapot as the leaves unfurled. It was so beautiful and made me want to drink it all. The tea was very nice, too. It tastes like strawberry candy, sure a bit artificial, but very good anyway. Plus it’s just so pretty to look at !

drank Red Velvet Cake by DAVIDsTEA

It’s not as good as I thought it would be. The smell of the dry leaf is very similar to that of Birthday Cake, which I didn’t like because it was rooibos, but I thought with a black base it would be amazing. It is actually quite nice, but not my favorite. I get a lot of sweetness and a bit of cake and chocolate, but the black base is too strong for my taste. I’ve come to realize that I’m always a bit disapointed with teas that have chocolate in them. Maybe I expect too much. I would be very interested in trying some from another company though because I’ve only had some chocolate teas from David’s Tea so maybe I’m just not a big fan of their chocolate flavouring. We’ll see!

drank Coco-Lemon Thai by DAVIDsTEA

Oh, god ! This tea is pure magic ! I think it’s the best I’ve ever had ! It tastes exactly like a coconut pie mixed with a lemon pie. It’s super sweet, sooooo creamy, full of lemon and coco and creaminess. I just can’t believe how good this is. It’s so amazing I feel like I’m eating a huge piece of pie with lots of cream and full of calories. I can’t get over how great this is. I just decided I can’t lived without it anymore !

I’m quite new to tea. Like many people, the tea brand that got me started into loose leaf tea was Davids Tea. It was about 2 or 3 months ago. My first try was Pumpkin Chai and I was blown away.

I started mostly because I was looking for something that would satisfy my sugar cravings without all the calories, and also for the health benefits. I soon realized the world of tea was way larger than what I originally thought, and I’m glad I’m now a part of it !

I’m way intense when I get into something, so I bought too many kinds of loose tea leaf, trying to figure out which ones I would like best… So far, I mostly enjoy flavoured black, green or oolong teas. Anything floral, fruity, minty or sweet is great. I like dessert teas and also enjoy chai teas. The only thing I can’t stand is rooibos. I’ve tried several blends and I had to either give them away or put them in the trash.

Other stuff I’m into include traveling, language learning, TV series, yoga, Harry Potter, reading, writing, eating too much and hiking.
