A full bodied tea, probably one of the strongest black blends I know. I do not find it especially astringent or bitter – but then again, I cherish astringent, bold and somewhat bitter tastes.
Probably not the most magnificent variety available but still, one that is realtively easy to find and rather handy when needed.

OK – all thumbs up for my number one favourite :-) Dry, strong and astringent, the kind of cup you can´t put down. I would recommend taking it without milk or sweeteners of any kind to appreciate its full flavour. The perfect Irish Breakfast blend, with just the needed malty taste.
I horribly miss the bagged version of this tea…the lose variety is almost just as good but I confess I had become an addict to the bagged.
An absolute pleasure…thank you again, Twining´s!

This is one of the most flavourful Irish Breakfast varieties I have tried. With a rich black-golden color and a characteristic, yet very soft amber taste, it is a delight for any time of the day. It is only avaiable as lose tea as this company does not carry bagged tea. It is not as astringent as other Irish Breakfast varieties I know. I totally love it :-)
