902 Tasting Notes
Dear Steepsters,
I love sour teas. This is my favorite and it’s been retired. Yes, they retired it about a week after I my first ever (and so far only, since there’s not one near me) Teavana purchase, and I fully recognize the irony in that. Had I known at the time of purchase, I’d have a lot more of this tea on hand. As it is now, I may have 2 pots left.
So…since this will soon be no more, do you have a particularly sour blend that’s not retired that you’d recommend to a tart-tea lover? Once this is gone, I’ll need something new to fall in love with. Or, at least, have a wild, sour-tart fling with.

Preparation
Ah, back home for a short break before the evening reception, dinner, and theatrical presentation (yes, our entertainment tonight is dinner theater!). Decided to brew up a pot of this since I really need the caffeine to make it through the rest of the conference today.
amandajo sent me this in the tea-tag swap. I think I’m going to enjoy it, even though I think I should have brewed it for 3 minutes instead of 5. Will hold off on actually rating it until I do a 3 minute steep (and when I’m not eating pretzels and salsa con queso)!
Adagio has a sour apple blend, which I haven’t tried yet, but plan on. I had a very sour and sweet apple blend from Argo Tea that really was sweet and sour. Both are herbal teas. I may have some of the Argo left for you to try.
An herbal would probably be even better, since I don’t do caffeine after noon, and I crave this one in the evenings. The Argo one sounds delish. I’m going to order a like one from David’s, so we’ll see how tart that is.
I’m the owner of Tiesta Tea, and we have a Cranberry Tang rooibos blend that is rather tart. Its got the citrus notes from the orange peels, and thats what makes it rather tart.
Patrick, that does sounds good…but is only available in 4 oz. Personally, I don’t buy teas in volumes larger than 2 oz unless I’ve had them before and know that I love them and that they won’t linger in my cabinet and go stale.
