Not bad at all. Nothing stands out to me uniquely enough to order more – - this was a sample satchet sent with another order - but it’s a pleasant, strong tea.

My third of the samples, and the one I enjoyed the most. Two other two are reviewed on notes on my phone, will have them up soon (it’s charging). I havent’ been that impressed so far with the samples, but I have a lot to try fortunately. This one is delicious!! Sweep and reminds me of maple syrup, sweet luxury, warmth, and pleasant nights. I added in two sugar cubes to really heighten the sweetness. It’s pleasant and not at all bitter. Brewed 4 minutes at boiling. Will be a keeper and a re-order.

Not getting any smoke in this first brew, though.

I’m not a big mint fan with teas, but if you, this one is recommended. It’s smooth and not spicy, the mint is definitely dominant. it’s a white tea but not at all weak. I steeped a little over 3 minutes and the tea and mint come through smoothly and with strength. The tea boasts of having mango as well, but I’m not really catching it, although that may be what is soothing the mint down a bit. There is a little bit of a drying feeling after a few sips in the back of the throat. Not my usual tea, but I like it and find it soothing. It gets better the more you sip it. Would be great for calming evenings.

It’s unique and I enjoy it – but I do agree with the reviewer below me it reminds me a little of a cleaner. At first I thought “soapy” but that fades. It may be the way the fruits are blended. The first sips I got florals, the second sips I seemed to get more of fruit. It is not bitter, but it can be, sort of borderline when the fruit rind taste comes out. Did 2 tsp in a pot with hot, boiling and 3 sugar cubes. This tea arrived FAST – I’m curious on this company and am excited to try the other teas. The smell of this one is excellent. I don’t think it will be a keeper, but it’s not bad.

I brewed it longer than 5 minutes, and it’s still not bitter. I had a sample tea bag. It’s smooth and the chocolate touch is nice and subtle, not artificial. It’s not a BAD tea, and it has flavor - but there is something of substance missing, some strength or oomph in the sip. While not bad, it’s forgetable, especially for a breakfast tea steeped 5 minutes minimum.

This sample is ancient, but trying to clear out cupboard of these little tins I made ages ago. This tea is now much older but it was delicious. Really, really good black tea with flavor, no bitterness, charming.

Another I got in a deal for the tin. It’s a very light tea, and I steeped it six minutes. The taste is pleasant but very mild and I expected more from the flavour description. It is described to have some cinnamon spice, which I’m not really getting, but I do get the smooth apricot coming across. I’ll keep experimenting with the satchets. May make a good iced tea, not sure.

It’s really weird I’m liking this one so much since I typically don’t like chamomile, and not much a mint fan - but for some reason this one is very pleasant! I purchased on a sale with the tin and the high ratings of the New York Blend, glad I took the plunge. I don’t get the mint much until the end of the sip, it’s not overpowering, to me it’s almost like chamomile and apples, very soothing and warming, drinking hot. It’s a light tea but flavorful -- I think next time I’ll steep it a bit more. Wouldn’t be bad with a touch of lemon to enhance the ginger. Added one sugar cube.

I am not a hot cinnamon fan in teas apparently. I never enjoy it when its the predominant note. I got this one for the Met Tin and it was supposed to have a variety of flavors. It tastes like their cinnamon hot spice or any of their other hot cinnamon blends, for they have many. I do get a buttery, smooth apple undertaste, but the cinnamon spice gets stronger the more sips I take. Ironically I was eating an apple when I tried this tea.

I will keep the tin as a keeper as it’s adorable but unlikely to drink any more of the tea unless I’m mixing in a pot with something else for experimentation, and next time I’ll use a larger cup to dilute a little more with the satchel

These teas are like drinking liquid Red Hots ha ha. I have to be in a certain mood to enjoy them because they’re so sweet.

Agreed. What’s funny is I love cinnamon in general – I put cinnamon in some coffees, or cinnamon sugar on lattes, and I add cinnamon to a lot of cooking recipes. I also used to vape cinnamon flavors which were spicy. Cinnamon in itself is not really spicy though, I am curious on cinnamon tea that isn’t made to be like those red hot cinnamon candies.

Yeah, there’s definitely a world of difference between cinnamon and cinnamon flavoring. I find Simpson & Vail has some nice cinnamon-y dessert teas.

Bio

I have a drink obsession in general – daily lattes and coffees, and of course teas of many varieties. I mainly drink hot tea in Florida, but still enjoy the occasional southern sweet iced.

My preference is black tea, although I’m open to trial and error with others. I like the old fashioned English style tea cups, tea parties, food pair-ups, mini desserts and pies, cubes of sugar, small collection of Rose Red tea pets, you get the idea. I will always have an old fashioned tea kettle on the stove, but have recently purchased an electric tea kettle that I absolutely adore. I’m lazy by nature, so I have switched to stuffing tea bags for the loose teas to save on clean-up and disposal with other strainers.

I love smokey teas, non-bitter, not overly astringent, strong tea background mixed with flavored teas, no artificial sweetener tastes, balanced florals IF there must be a floral. I used to love spice, but it has to be done right. A former chai fan – now it reminds me of colored pencils. Cinnamon sounds good but so many teas have it artificial or odd tasting. Same goes for chocolate, some things have to be done just right to work.

Most missed tea place and tea: Plum Brandy Cheesecake by Butiki

Very picky with anything Roobios, and Darjeeling/Oolong are hit or miss depending on the blend and my taste buds. Mint works in a mood but I’m not a big fan. Gravitate toward good name blends and fall themes when doing yet more sampler orders.

I like adding a cube of sugar to almost all teas, not usually milks. I don’t like stevia or any artificial sweetener taste. I adore honey, but to me it doesn’t suit tea unless I have a sore throat as both the tea and the honey change their flavor profile quite a bit if I mix them.
