This is the first tea I tried from my Dragon Tea House order. The smell of the dry leaves is exactly like fresh real butter. Steeped it still smells the same just with a touch of tea mixed in.
I enjoyed this tea quite a bit. At first I was breathing in through my nose as I sipped it, and it tasted very similar to green beans with butter. Then I tried hard not to inhale when I sipped at the tea was quite pleasant this way. Much more tea tasting with a creamy mouth feel.
Not sure if I will repurchase, but will certainly enjoy what I have.

Pick number 8. It was really odd but this one smelled like banana laffy taffy when dry. That’s okay though I like banana laffy taffy. Once steeped the tea looses any hint of banana scent and is more weak apple cider smelling.
The taste however is all brandy and tea, which I think was due to the fact I only ended up with one apple chunk in my steeper. It looses the brandy flavor as it cools though.
Don’t think I would get this one again. Though since I still have some, next time I will try with a little stevia and see if that is better.

Pick number 7. This one had a creamy scent to the dry leaves. I accidentally over-brewed this one(for a total of about 12 minutes, oops). Brewed it still had that creamy smell but was mostly just a rich tea. I tried a few sips of this without adding stevia, all I could taste was a strong but delicious tea. After adding stevia I thought it was pretty good, creamy and sweet. Then I forgot I had it sitting in my cup(oops again), this turned out to be a pleasant surprise as this tea was quite good cool. Next time I will try brewing it for the proper amount of time.

drank Spicier Chai by 52teas

This is blind pick number 6. I love chai, they tend to be my favorites. The spicier the better. Right off the bat the smell of cloves was strong. I was excited and hurried up and got my water ready. Used a tsp of leaves in my steeper.
Brewed the smell of cloves is much weaker, but the tea still smells delicious. Tasted my first sip, it was alright, not the greatest, but understandable as I usually like my chai with stevia and milk.
I decided to forgo the milk as I want to start using less stuff in my teas. I did use some stevia and it took the brew from alright to not bad at all. I would still like it if the spices were spicier, but all in all I would buy this chai again.

drank Chai-napple Gunpowder by 52teas

This is my blind basket pick number 5. The bag was being stubborn to open actually had to break out a knife(yikes) since I don’t know where my kitchen shears have vanished to.
Once I finally got the blasted bag open, I was immediately comforted with the delicious smell of pineapple(yum). I love pineapple. Brewed the tea has more of a candy pineapple scent, which is still quite appetizing.
The flavor left me wanting some, it just wasn’t strong enough. It has a pleasant flavor with pineapple and pleasing gunpowder green tea, it was just a little too weak.
I only steeped at the shortest amount of time though(I know, I should’ve brewed longer but I was impatient). Next time I will let it steep longer and maybe a little more leaf. Might repurchase.

Blind pick number 4. First impression of dry leaf scent is coconut rum. Yup smells just like it. Steeped it still smells quite a bit like alcohol but more coconutty(not even a word but I like it).
Taste is all coconut with just the barest thought of alcohol.
Overall it is good but probably not a repurchase.

Blind grab number 3. Could smell the sarsaparilla right away in the dry leaves. I thought it smelled yummy, hubby thought it smelled like medicine. Steeped it smells just like a root beer float.
The taste was good straight up, with a sweetness in the aftertaste. But I went with my gut after first two sips and added stevia and some 2% milk. Wow!! Yummy. It tastes just like what you would think a root beer float tastes like hot, sans carbonation of course.
Would reorder this one in a heartbeat.

drank Tequila Lime Green Tea by 52teas

Blind grab number 2.
Right off the bat I could smell lime in the dry leaves, and strongly. Steeped there the lime scent is again, with just a hint of the tequila.
The taste is lime and green tea with just the barest touch of tequila. Mostly it just tastes like a lime tea. It’s good but probably not a reorder.

drank Kiwi Cheesecake Oolong by 52teas
12 tasting notes

Blind tea pick number 1. I took all my new teas and put them in a basket. I then had hubby blindly reach in and pick me one. This is the tea he grabbed.
It has an amazing smell dry, fruity and slightly reminiscent of cheesecake.
The smell of the brewed tea still has that kiwi scent with a little more cheesecake.
I am not picking up much of the cheesecake flavor in the tea. The kiwi does come through some, but mostly it’s a fresh taste of the oolong.
Going to try a second steep of the leaves and see how that works out.
