I had to admit that I was pretty skeptical about this tea upon reading quite negative reviews on it… Many seemed to say that it is just a mint herbal and that there is no chocolate at all.

However, I was very pleasantly surprised when I tried it last night! First of all, the taste is quite strong for an herbal! No lightly flavored water there! Second, while the mint is the prominent taste, the white chocolate is present! It’s creaminess and sweetness are very noticeable and they bring a whole new dimension to the mint. I absolutely loved this tea and am glad I bought some. Good job David!

Wooo first one to review this tea!! I was lucky enough to receive a sample of it with my last order and needless to say I was VERY excited to try it!! I mean, chocolate and hazelnut?? With a smooth oolong base??? How could I resist?

It is steeping right now. The dry leaf smell is SENSATIONAL! Smells pretty much like chocolate hazelnut spread (Nutella, for the non-US residents). It is sweet and rich, very dessert-like.

Brewed, the oolong comes out more in the aroma. Oh and I’m starting to get the caramel! The chocolate is also definitely there. Writing along as it is steeping…
Ok it’s been 5 minutes, I’m letting it cool down slightly so I don’t burn my tongue and compromise any chance of actually tasting something…

First sip: Holy nuts batman! This is straight up hazelnut! Actually, roasted hazelnut. The grilled/roasted flavor is very present and I think it overpowers the chocolate completely. Maybe it will come out more as it cools down. The oolong is also very discreet, far behind. That hazelnut is like a big bully pushing everyone else back. Not sure if I like it….BUT I don’t dislike it either! Strange… I guess it is a tea that you have to be in the mood for. The smell is very attractive though.

I will add a little bit of sugar to see if it brings the chocolate out. Hmmm it softens the taste a little but still not loving it. Maybe I steeped it too long, although I did follow the instructions.

Overall…Undecided.

My first chai experience… First of all I must say I am a huge cinnamon fan. Cinnamon Heart is my all-time favourite tea from Davids Tea. So when I first smelled Coco Chai I was very attracted to the cinnamony, spicy aroma. Once brewed, the smell gets very strong but the taste is surprisingly soft and mellow in the mouth! I can’t honestly distinguish the spices but there is a nice ginger aftertaste and the cinnamon warms me up. I added one honey stick to give it a little sweet touch and enjoyed that cup until the very last sip! Will definitely drink this again!

This is a very soft, comforting tea. The coconut is the main scent and taste, it gives a creaminess and sweetness that are very pleasant. I honestly do not taste the lavender much, although there is a slight aftertaste that I can’t precisely describe. It is both nutty and floral, almost vanilla-like at times.
Overall, I really appreciate this calming tea, perfect before bed.

I am very new to tea but this is already one of my favourites. I adore spices and especially cinnamon, so when I heard Davids Tea had a strong cinnamon tea, I just had to try it.
I wasn’t familiar with the Pu’erh and I admit that the fishy smell did surprise me at first. However, if you add a little sugar and let this tea cool down a bit, the fish mellows down and the warmth of the cinnamon comes out beautifully. With the caffein kick, this has become my perfect 10 o’clock boost!
A must try for any cinnamon lover!!
