I should have heeded the label and description of this tea with warning. I think it would actually taste best with the recommended “sweetened condense milk” because this is stark, peppery, spicy tea that has my eyes bulging out of my skull. Drinking it straight really had my taste buds go in for a wild dance of some sorts, but it felt more out of control rather than a happy cuppa… It smells amazing as a dry leaf. I will finish my small 30g bag, but will not repurchase. I prefer the other chai’s from DavidsTea.

This is where I sound completely like the amateurs of amateurs with teas. This tea smells amazing. It’s so tasty and to me, it’s not very strong, or tart at all. It’s a sweet tea that I enjoy drinking before I head to bed and I find that I reach for this more often than most of my other herbal teas. I’m going to pick this up again. Maybe one day when I figure out what the notes that I’m attracted to are, I’ll update this note… but until then, I’ll be a newbie tea connoisseur enjoying this tea.

Sipdown! A tangy, tart tea that I enjoy hot. I haven’t tried this cold yet, but this was a surprising sip. I never know what to expect with DavidsTea herbal teas but this was a nice surprise. The scent is enthralling, and thankfully the taste also delivers. I prefer my drinks quite strong, without sweetener or milk. The yogurt scent and taste is a good additive. I’m trying to steer away from teas with added flavourings, but it is quite difficult to wean myself off of these flavourful blended teas… Unfortunate. A new contender for my top tier of fruit teas.
