drank Most Ardently by Happy Turtle Tea

I seem to have forgotten how to drink liquid! It’s amazing how just the tiniest amount down the wrong pipe will throw you into a coughing fit! At least I got a few sips in before choking so my coughs have an enjoyable maple quality to them. That was good planning on my part. Roommate came in and commented on it smelling like maple too!

This has a nice maple flavor. Reminds me of David’s O Canada. I like that there is honeybush and green rooibos in there too which masks a little of the red rooibos. The dry post sip mouth thing is there, but not horrible. I haven’t been exposed to much Jane Austen stuff, so I’m not sure what the connection is, but it’s an alright tisane. I feel like I’d need a little more going on in this mix to be compelled to make a purchase, but I am enjoying this cup.

Update: As it cools it has a very nice buttery finish.

I hate that. Especially Dr. Pepper up the nose. Oh, the burning!

I mostly only read science fiction, but this year I finally read Pride & Prejudice and then watched the 2005 movie, and I’ve been pretty obsessed ever since. Planning to check out the rest of her books next year. Not sure I understand why they chose those flavors for this tea though.

I tried to listen to P&P audiobook and didn’t get very far. I just wasn’t into it. :/

I have tried to read Jane Austen many, many times and finally just gave up. I swapped her out for Charles Dickens and Mark Twain.

I need to re-read Pride & Prejudice, it’s been many years. I did recently watch the 2005 movie though. ❤

Dustin

Maybe movie format would help break the Austen ice for me.

I don’t think I’ve read any CD or MT since grade school. I wonder how I’d feel about them now. I do enjoy a good Dicken’s Fair which was unfortunately canceled this year, thanks pandemic!

Bio

My name is Dustin and I like tea.

I’m an added flavor kind of tea fan, but have had a growing appreciation for plain. I want my tea to remind me of cookies and cakes with coconut and almond slices with a hint of chocolate drizzled on top. I want dancing ponies and flying monkeys shooting off fireworks! And no hibiscus. Hibiscus is the devil.
