drank Masala Chai by Adagio Teas
1711 tasting notes

This sample came in a little week long countdown with my tea order! The instructions say to steep for 7 minutes! I only did 3 and got a flavorful cup. It seems like a pretty good chai. Heavy on the cardamom in the front of the sip, which I like. It reminds me of David’s Kashmiri Chai, but that one is on a green base and this is black. The clove comes out strong towards the back of the sip. I like this. I don’t know that I’d buy it as I already have several favorite chai’s, but it would be a decent back up if the others were not available.

Seven minutes? Oy! That sounds strong enough to remove rust!

Right?! I don’t know how they came up with that! Typo?

I only “steep” my chai that long when I’m simmering it on the stove in milk, not just dunking the leaves in water…

My name is Dustin and I like tea.

I’m an added flavor kind of tea fan, but have had a growing appreciation for plain. I want my tea to remind me of cookies and cakes with coconut and almond slices with a hint of chocolate drizzled on top. I want dancing ponies and flying monkeys shooting off fireworks! And no hibiscus. Hibiscus is the devil.
