drank Toasted Walnut by DAVIDsTEA
24 tasting notes

I really wanted to like this tea, I really did……but I just can’t D: I’ve been eyeing this one ever since DT opened up in my town, but haven’t gotten around to getting it. Well, it almost being winter, and what with the weather being especially chilly, I decided to finally give it a go!

The scent is what really gave me the push to get a 100g tin of it. Smells like…..vanilla….and sugar cookies! Pretty much what everyone else describes here c: and I heard that if you like the hearty taste of genmaicha then you’ll probably like this tea. Not to mention just paring walnuts and green tea sounds sensational

Well, steeping it seems nummy….the odor it gives off is the same as the tin, maybe more toasty. it has little oil specks, but walnuts are a fatty nut, so that’s expected.

Taste: I’M SOOOO DISAPPOINTED D8
It’s just sooooooo weak. I can’t trace any green tea in it AT ALL. So basically it tastes like sweet walnut water *bleh! If only that was more green tea in there, this tea would totally work…..it would be my new thing! But alas, I had to return in the very next day…..That’s another great thing about DT, they can do exchanges no problem – I’ll give a review on the tea I got instead soonish. I just don’t understand how there can be next to no green tea flavours in there when I can clearly see them floating in my cup! Even when I over steep it – nothing! It doesn’t seem like a hard thing to blend right, so I dunno….

Had great potential, but that just made it fall harder when it was a miss.

Tea is a lifestyle. It’s a constant for me. Each day is different, thus variety is very important for my tea shelf ^^

Besides always being seen with a mug of tea in hand, I also frequent piano playing, cuddling teh kittehs, drawing, reading, walking along beaches, bla bla bla…..you get the drift.
