94 Tasting Notes
Interesting tea. I wanted a green tea tonight and didn’t want Lime Gelato or Movie Night so I went with this one. Not sure how I feel about it. When it was hot it was ok but once it cooled some the hints of chocolate and mint were really nice. Not sure if I will replace this one when I run out but it was pretty good. I may try it iced tomorrow and see how that is.
I can’t say enough good things about this tea. Just wanted to share my love for it again. The last 2 times I have had it I left the steeping basket in while I drank the tea and it doesn’t turn bitter. Exactly what I am looking for in a black. I may add milk one of these times just to see what it is like.
Definatley going to rebuy this one.
Having this one naked. I didn’t usually drink my black teas with nothing in them. I always added milk to them but now that I am drinking better tea I seem to be doing this more often. I made this tea about 1.5 hours ago but it is so hot here I just couldn’t drink it. Now that it has sat I didn’t even now if I would like it but it is great. It isn’t bitter like some blacks can be after sitting for awhile. The thing I really want to say about it is that it has a really nice “tea” flavour to it. I am really glad I picked this one up yesterday in the store and look forward to getting more. I decided on “only” 50g to try this one and it filled the whole bag. The girl even had problems getting the bag closed. 100g would likely take up more than one tin.
Made this last night and I was pretty wiped from a ball game in the hot weather so not sure I remember everything about it. I do remember it tasted nice and sweet even thought there was no sweetener added to it. I am not ever going to rate it since I can’t remember it that well.
But I do remember that it was better when it cooled alot. Will update later or do a new review.
Went to the store today for my $1 iced tea hoping to have the Long Life Oolong but they were out of that so I grudginly took this one. I wasn’t sure I was really interested in it but figure hubby could drink it since he really loves his coffee. Apparently I was wrong. He only likes iced tea the way I make it and with lemonade in it. Ugh. I hoped he was up to new things. Guess not.
Anyway, I wasn’t really fond of this to begin with. It was somewhat bitter to start and I found the coffee flavour was overwhelming. I didn’t get the chocolate like the girl in the store promised. I really didn’t think I would get any of this one and would not try it again. But after over an hour in my cup I really started to like this one. I will have to try it hot with some milk since I really think that the reason I wasn’t enjoying it was that it was cold. Guess I need to get a small bag and try it hot.
Finally decided to have this one. The smell is so wonderful in the cute little popcorn box package that I didn’t want to open the tea and lose the smell. Plus there was no way to reclose the plastic bag. But last time I was in David’s Tea the girl behind the counter gave me one of there silver bags to put my Movie Night in once I opened it.
I think I may have oversteeped this. It is a little bitter on the back of my throat. And it has a wonderful caramel smell but the taste seems off to me. The colour is great though. Looks like a very thin caramel. I am undecided about this tea and will do it again but pay attention to the steeping time.
Having this iced right now. I think I should have added a splash of lemon juice to it but it is still pretty good. And it is so hot here that this is really good and satisfying. The lime isn’t quite strong enough but it may be a little overpowered by the coconut. Still really good. So glad I decided to try this iced.
Not sure what to think of this one. I have left my tsac in so that might be contributing to the strange flavour I am getting. Or it could be the Rooibos. I am enjoying it but think I may enjoy it better if I drank it hot since I have left this one for about 20 minutes. Still good but I can’t get over the strange flavour. I will repost next time I have it when it is hot.
