Holy Vanilla Batman. I am not sure how to rate this because it is still too hot to drink but the smell and flavour of vanilla is almost overpowering. I think this will make a great drink in the winter. For some reason I crave and enjoy vanilla in the winter.

I will give this an actual rating later. Right now I am glad I only got 10g of this one.

Edit. second steep was much better. Really enjoyed this tea without being smacked upside the head with vanilla. Not sure how to fix that except to make hubby drink the first steeping and I can have the better second/third ones.

I would love to be smacked upside the head with vanilla – this may be the tea I’ve been looking for. LOL

Cattibrie

Definately the tea for you then. Hubby said the whole bedroom smelled of vanilla while I was drinking it.

We played softball all weekend. I was well behaved yesterday and didn’t yell too much but today was a different story. We made the semi-final and I did yell (cheer, encourage) my teammates a fair amount. We won that game 16 to 1. That placed us in the final against a team we have had issues with in the past. Well that just meant that my yelling was upped a notch. We won the game 10 to 6 to take teh championship for our division. Lots of fun but I am paying for it now with a sore knee, achilles tendon and my throat is killing me. I may not have a voice tomorrow. Hopefully drinking this tea will help that. Especially because our other league’s tournament is next weekend. :)

The licorice is a little overpowering but tonight that is ok with me. It gives it some nice sweetness. And the chamomile is definately a background flavour to it which is enjoyable for me because I like chamomile tea but find it doesn’t mix well that often with other things. And the chamomile seems to be working because I can’t keep my eyes open. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to talk after having this. I am looking forward to using this tea in the winter during cold season.

Not going to give this a rating because I mixed it.

Wow I mixed this with Read My Lips and I am drinking an iced After 8 mint. So great. Did a quick iced tea with double the amount of leaves but I always then resteep the leaves to have later. And the smell in the house is amazing.

Now I can’t wait to try this on its own so I can rate it. And I will get that chance soon since I forgot when at David’s yesterday that I needed to get more Read My Lips. Darn.

Iced 5 min, 45 sec

Sounds delicious and totally refreshing!

Yay I got my 52teas order today. Took a month which I will remember for next time.
This tea is great. I ordered 2 pkgs of it so I was really hoping I would enjoy it. My only complaint is there are no brewing directions on the package so I had to go with what I normally do for blacks for steeping times. The tea smells great in the package. The raspberry really came out brewed.
It was also a big hit at my mothers house with the kids. All of them kept stealing my travel mug to drink it. May have to make a pitcher for them for tomorrow since it will be so hot.

Can’t belive this is the first tasting note on this one. I LOVED this one myself, especially iced. Reading your note makes me want it again, and I’m out. :(

Cattibrie

Well I’m not sharing. LOL.

It’s okay. If I get really desperate, I know a guy who could make some more.

I missed out on this one sigh. I’m glad that it’s at least being enjoyed by a deserving tea lover :)

Wow. This is exactly what I was looking for in a green tea. Lots of nice green flavour without being bitter. I even oversteeped this due to the afternoon nap battle with my 2 year old and it was still great. Nice light colour and wonderful flavour. When I bought it yesterday I was looking for a fairly plain green tea and I have found it for sure.

ooooh, I hope the second steep holds up to! :)

Cattibrie

second steep was great. I left the tsac in while drinking and it still wasn’t bitter. I can’t say enough good things about this tea.

Bit of a strange taste to this but that is the licorice and next time I won’t likely leave the leaves in. I am feeling really tired after finishing this so maybe it will help me sleep.

Nice light colour to this tea and it is a good chamomile tea. Definately prefer this to Mother’s Little Helper. This may be my new night time tea.

200 °F / 93 °C 8 min or more

Had this iced from the store today. I really enjoyed it and bought some more to try it hot also.
It was sweet and slightly tart. My 2 1/2 year old loved it and stole half my cup full. Nice and fruity but you really don’t get much of the actual tea from it. For all I taste it could be an herbal with no tea in it.

Iced

I had this iced yesterday. Actually I prepared it iced but I only had a couple of sips before ball and it sat in the car during the game. It was nice iced but I found the flavour was better (more minty) an hour later after the ice had melted. It was still cool just not iced. I will definately be trying this again. I will make it in my pot though and not do the double amount of tea and then ice it hot. Maybe that will make a difference. And it is almost time to refill my tin.

I agree! The mint flavour comes out much more as it cooled down.
That’s actually why I preferred mine a little colder because the mint was more muted, but either way it’s an excellent tea in every way!

Daisy Chubb

er wait.. cooled down? warmed up? Got less iced :)

Cattibrie

I couldn’t figure out how to put that either. LOL. I really love this tea.
