When I first purchased this tea i was quite skeptic, I was sure that the tea’s name would overshoot as most tea’s with ambitious titles do. I couldn’t have been happier to be wrong. The tea starts out with a bitter and sweet hint of black tea and cinnamon which fades beautifully into a sweet chocolate aftertaste (yes it even tastes like white chocolate)… I’m not quite sure how they did it , but they hit the nail on the head with this one. it’s the closest thing to coffee you’ll drink that is actually a tea, and that kind of blows my mind. This is the second stash tea blend that I have tried and I’m happy to say they have a new customer .

I went to David’s Tea initially planning to purchase their cookie dough blend. They didn’t have any so I bought Buddha’s blend as a consolation prize. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Immediately the scent drew me in and I made my choice. As a seasoned lover of jasmine tea I knew I was in for a treat, but the extra notes were such a journey I didn’t anticipate. There’s a subtle flavor of peach that lingers long after you drink. I’m in love. I flavored mine with honey and let it steep a bit long. I don’t mind the bitterness if there’s some sweet tones at the end. Though I probably wouldn’t have steeped it long without honey. I bought a tin of this stuff and I have no regrets. A current favourite right now. I can’t wait to try it iced.

When I read the description initially I thought this tea wouldn’t be that interesting, but I am pleasantly surprised. There’s an interesting fusion here, that i’m still trying to pin down, but the notes of coconut remind of some Pina Colada concoction I’ve never tasted. I’m not sure I taste the chocolate but there’s definitely a sweet or caramel like effect that lingers with the coconut as after taste. I think I’ve found my new winter tea. I could definitely see myself drinking this on a cold snowy day, or by the fire lost in a good book. I’m really happy I decided to give this one a try.

I just tried this today and I must say I am very impressed. The smell alone is enticing and reminded me of a watermelon gummy bear, watermelon is infused throughout and there hints of flavors that aren’t on the label. I could swear I am still tasting a bit of banana. Can’t wait to taste this iced, and I don’t think sweetening would be necessary.

I cannot recall if I steeped this for the correct amount of time, but the first few times I made this tea I found it a bit on the sour side, I had to sweeten with honey to really enjoy it and appreciate the rest of the fruity notes. It wasn’t too long before I could drink it straight and it was no longer a problem.

This was a bit of an acquired taste for me but I really got hooked so fast. This was a first for me, experiencing white tea with a non-berry fruit, I really enjoyed it. The tea has a lasting after taste which is in my opinion it’s hallmark. Found some old leaves the other day and had to brew some up again. Very nice tea here i could see myself drinking silver needle white tea, alone in the future.

I really enjoyed this one, it colors the water an interesting bluish-green that I’ve never seen before in tea, and has a medley of flavors that tantalize your inner child. I found the leaves very fine…..and if you don’t have an infuser with close knit meshers or a mesh ball that clamps tightly you’ll find a bit of the tea leaves floating in your cup like logs or twigs. This really gave credence to its namesake. I’m not sure if this was an intended effect or not, but having to spit out the leaves during my first cup was a bit of annoyance. Overall it was a fun and enjoyable drink, I’d definitely purchase it again.
