Bit of a powerhouse, strong but smoothed by the age/storage. Lots of mouthfeel and pucker. Lingering finish with a touch of sweet hui gan.

Long lasting leaves too, I stopped counting infusions after the 8th steep.

Flavors: Astringent, Bittersweet

Now my No 1 most-consumed tea of all. Not surprised as this is my daily matcha. :)
Adjusting my rating a bit as I know about other options which are out there. Great consistent brew without spending high end ceremonial money.

Wow! Backlog on this one but it was really good.

I’ve brewed a few times. It’s like Matcha’s roasty twin. Really straightforward. Would make a great topper for a matcha latte if you’re into that sort of thing.

If you enjoy hojicha, this is a very grounding and complete experience. I would buy more, especially for the low offer price.

Flavors: Nutty, Roasty, Savory, Wood

90-100 Stellar, to be displayed proudly if shared with guests. Or just a tea that hits its mark well.
80-90 I enjoy this tea a lot, would purchase and drink it. Fine if it lives in the pantry
70-80 Above Average, would drink it and probably still buy if the mood struck me.
50-70 Average, I would still drink it when available.
0-50 I don’t care for this tea, and have no desire to care for it.
