drank Nutty by Nature by DAVIDsTEA

This tea suffers from multiple things. First is the fact that I am not a fan of nut teas, so automatic bias. Second is that this tea can not handle sugar being added; the slightest bit of added sugar makes it sickly gross. Third is a weird undertone of something mysterious and slightly nauseating (could it be the monk fruit?). Bearable enough to finish my 25 grams of it, but would never repurchase.

drank Pumpkin Chai by DAVIDsTEA

Halloween in a cup! Bold pumpkin flavour with sweet notes of cinnamon and caramel candy. The black tea base goes a long way in ensuring this blend doesn’t become sickly sweet. I had the misfortune of oversteeping this once and it tasted burned and horrible, so brewer beware! When made correctly, this is potentially the best flavour of the fall season and will likely make a return every year.

drank Main Squeeze by DAVIDsTEA

What can only be described as the tea version of orange juice. The flavour is very juicy and fruity and not artificial at all. Tastes great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The caffeine boost is noticeable without creating an energy crash afterwards. Definitely my favourite yerba maté variety to date.

Pleasantly fruity without any tartness. Passionfruit is the major flavour note, to the point that I forgot I was drinking a green tea. The essence of passionfruit is captured perfectly without tasting artificial or overwhelming. I really enjoyed this hot, though it’s a very popular selection iced. Luckily this is part of DAVID’s TEA permanent collection!

drank Shirley Temple by DAVIDsTEA
31 tasting notes

The main flavours here are cherry and orange, neither of which overpower the other. It has a generically strong, fruity taste that isn’t immediately reminiscent of a Shirley Temple but is quite similar to a good fruit punch. I could be fooled into thinking this is a juice. Wonderfully sweet with just a hint of tang, it also steeps a gorgeous dark red. So good!

drank Banana Split by DAVIDsTEA

Rich chocolate takes centre stage, followed by the gentle flavour of banana. Decadent, full body that balances its main flavour notes perfectly. This tea tastes as close to a gourmet hot chocolate as one can get, and though it’s great cold, it really shines when brewed hot. I don’t think I could get tired of drinking this.

drank Strawberry Colada by DAVIDsTEA

True to its name, this tastes just like a piña colada with strawberries. The pineapple and coconut take main stage, with strawberry mellowing out the tropical notes. Very fruity and exotic flavour that doesn’t require much added sugar. If you’re not feeling the tropical flavours, stay away from this one.

drank Coconut Ice by DAVIDsTEA

Coconut liqueur. This is exactly what this tea tastes like. Coconut is great when supporting other flavours, but it does horribly as the main ingredient. There is a very noticeable taste of alcohol that makes it all even more unpleasant. Borderline nauseating.

drank Just Peachy by DAVIDsTEA

Bold peach flavour dominates this tea in a wonderfully juicy, non-artificial way. Delicately sweet and delicious either hot or cold. Not too many flavours going on with this one, but that’s part of what makes it so singularly enjoyable. Amazing summer tea!
