A strong tea with a lot of body. This tea has an earthy, loamy flavor. Very easy to overbrew. The tea has a different appearance from other “leaf” teas. It is very fine, almost like gunpowder teas and needs to be measured when brewing…its soooo easy to get a lot more than you think! Re-steeps well (for me).

Tried this one again. Full teaspoon (not the tsp) with Hot (200f) water for about 5 minutes. Lightly colored. Good flavor with a bit of body. Very mild tannin only at the aftertaste. I think the key is HOT! water.

Over ice with lunch. To watered down by the end, but tasty to start.

drank Mixed Berry Green by Lipton

My wife has an issue with caffine, so she trys to limit her intake. This is her concoction and its mmmm..good. Had this with dinner last night. 2 bags of Lipton Berry Green tea with 2 bags of generic decaf tea in a 1 Qt container, pour boiling water to fill the container and let steep at least 5 minutes (more the merrier generally). Pour over liberal amounts of ice for a glass of yummy berry iced tea.

Quick and easy…makes plastic water taste good. A bit sweet for me, but at least its not real sugar.

Last teabag :-( I get a can of this every Christmas and ration it out.
Spicey goodness. A touch of sugar brings out the flavors. The citrus is a bit underwhelming, but this last teabag is 5+ months old…

got some of this from a friend. Steeped 5 minutes to get some color…Very light, not astringent, mild mild mild, even after 5 minutes of steeping. Knowing that tea IS flavored water, this is just flavored water….
I’ll try this one again in the future just to make sure it wasn’t a bad day.

Ok, yes, I’m running through my library of tea. This is something completely different from my usual fare. 1 1/2 teaspoons in a 2 cup pot. Steeped 3-4 minutes. Light straw color. Fresh mowed grass smell. Light, tannic, cleansing in the mouth. Best drank hot…as it cools the tannins seem to become overwhelming. A little reheat and its good to go.

An excellent Ceylon. Dark rust red, just a hint of tannins. Good hot, gets better as it cools. I actually like this one when its down to room temp…seems to bring out the tannins a bit more.

I’m not much active on Steepster because I haven’t been trying a lot of different tea lately. I have been buying M.T. Wendell’s Cheericup Ceylon because it is my favorite. That said, gifts of tea drop in every once in awhile and I try to bring my impressions here.
