2302 Tasting Notes
The main flavor here is roses. It’s quite a full, rich flavor. The second steep tastes similar to the first. Thanks to tea-sipper for the sample! I don’t usually love floral teas, but this one does its thing super well. If you want a really rosy, yet slightly complex tea, this might be the one.
The black tea in this blend is a little harsh for me. I also feel like the bergamot could have been stronger. It was all right, but one of the less good EGs I’ve had. I do appreciate the share though, tea-sipper! I drank the last of my cup and the resteep cold, and I’d say this tea definitely shines more as a cold latte. It’s much smoother that way.
This was pretty sour and not very pleasant. Beets aren’t sour, so I was confused at first, but I guess that’s the hibiscus. Not as dirt tasting as beet teas usually are. Probably a short steep would work better for this one. I have one more bag, but I’m sharing it with a coworker who liked the last beet tea I wasn’t a fan of.
Now this is a fantastic rooibos. It’s one of those where you take a mouthful and go whoa. It’s not super almondy, but the bit that comes through really elevates the flavor as a whole. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try this one. I would certainly buy some of this for myself.
Oh noooooo. I didn’t notice that this had coconut in it, and it turned rancid surprisingly quickly. It’s sad because I can tell from the initial flavor that this one is pretty tasty! Lovely cinnamon, and I know the coconut would have gone with it very well. I had to dump the cup because the coconut was too bad. I appreciate amandastory516 for sharing this one with me regardless! I’ll have to sample a fresh batch sometime because I love the cookieness that this one promises.
This ended up more light and floral than I imagined, but the flavor is definitely enjoyable when it cools. It’s one that tastes a little different with each sip. I like the rooibos that Tea Forte uses. I see that it gets mixed reviews, but I’m definitely feeling more on the positive side about this one.
This tea is so minty and fresh. It’s one I’ve wanted to try for a long time, and I’m so glad it lived up to expectations! I’m drinking it cold, and it’s so complex and tasty. Definitely a new favorite. Everything meshes so well together, making it so layered and good.
I brewed this and then left it in the fridge overnight. It turned out a bit murky from the mint. I guess I should have made the effort to drink it in the same day. The orange comes across quite sharp and cleanerish. I wish I had enough of this to try again with different brewing parameters because this doesn’t taste very pleasant, but maybe my methods aren’t doing it justice.
This tea is quite mildly flavored, but the black tea is pretty high quality. Tasty maltiness, decently rich. Somehow, this is reminding me of the creme brulee I ate earlier. I can’t point out exactly what spices are included, but it all goes together quite well. It’s too bad there was only one serving left in the tin! I’m enjoying it with milk and sugar.
