I think this is the same as Adagio’s blood orange tea, which I remember not enjoying. I feel similarly this time around. The orange is pretty sour, and there aren’t really any good parts to lighten it up. With lots of sugar and keeping the steep time short, the flavor is decent. It’s tart and a little orangey, but there are much better orange teas out there.

I taste a bit of lemon, and there’s a pretty low percentage of black tea in here, so it tastes a lot like an herbal. It tastes pretty fresh and complex, though it’s hard to tell what ingredients make it up. The branding is pretty cute – I think Martin would enjoy some of these tea bags for his collection!

I have checked them, and apparently I did before based on my browser history, and you are right. I would enjoy those tea bags in my collection!

It looks like they sell their tea on Amazon, which is convenient! I wish I’d grabbed a few extra bags when I had the chance!

But as a foodstuff they don’t deliver it outside US. Not possible for me :/

Maybe one day I would send it via shipito or similar service. But As I am not drinking that much tea and I have lots of it right now, so no order for me!

Pleasant, mild honey flavor. Very nice light black tea, combined with various herbal ingredients. It didn’t need milk. It was mostly gentle, herbal-tasting, and pretty good. I appreciate the complex layers of flavor. It was a random tea box find, and now I’m curious to try more flavors from this company!

drank Gingerbread Matcha by DAVIDsTEA

Last matcha sample, and actually, my favorite. The gingerbread direction is super clear in the flavoring. Ginger is the strongest flavor, but you also get something like molasses so that it all comes together perfectly. I can also taste the matcha a little, but it all works together. I’d love a somehow decaf version of this!

drank Peach Matcha by DAVIDsTEA

This is pretty artificial. It has a typical candy peach flavor that’s quite strong, largely overpowering the matcha itself. It was a bit too fake for me, compared to the other fruity matcha flavors. Trying all these flavors has been so fun. Matcha is too caffeinated for me to purchase a tin, but I would love to get another sampler to try sometime!

drank Pumpkin Pie Matcha by DAVIDsTEA

This was by far my least favorite matcha. I didn’t get any flavoring here. It tasted strongly of fake, weird, savory grass. I added lots of milk, but the flavor didn’t get any tamer. I couldn’t drink it, but luckily someone else in my family enjoyed it enough to take care of it.

drank Blueberry Matcha by DAVIDsTEA
1141 tasting notes

I taste only a strong blueberry flavor. I don’t notice the matcha flavor very much, really just the blueberry. I found the berries and cream matcha to be tastier and more complex, so this ended up being a worse version of that one. If I had tried this one first, I probably would have said that it’s great, but sadly it doesn’t quite compare.

drank Candy Cane Matcha by DAVIDsTEA

The mint comes off a little murky. There are candy cane elements appearing, but I would have enjoyed a more fresh, clear vision of it. Maybe I just didn’t love the way the mint combined with the matcha itself. I added some whipped cream, and that lightened it up and made it more enjoyable.

The flavor of the matcha itself is really pleasant. The berry was a tiny bit chalky and fake, but overall tasty. Good balance of berry and matcha flavors with a little bit of cream. I don’t buy matcha, but if I did, this one would be a possibility. It was my second favorite of all the matchas I tried.

drank Maple Matcha by DAVIDsTEA

This didn’t really taste like maple. I mostly tasted the matcha, along with some sweetness, or I’m not sure what. I added plenty of milk and some whipped cream, which seemed to help make it more exciting. When the flavor was just sweetness, it was sort of boring, but with help, it was all right.

I’m an event planner who always has multiple mugs of tea beside me. Hobbies other than tea include board games, video games, cooking international dishes, science fiction, hiking, jigsaw puzzles, tap dancing, reading, listening to podcasts, and playing with my troublesome kitties.

Favorite flavors: dessert flavors, nutty, melon, mint, strawberry, anything rooibos-related.

Don’t prefer: Smoky, rosemary, savory flavors, floral (other than lavender), plain tea.

I always drink flavored tea, and preferably caffeine-free or black. I’ll try just about anything though! Let me know if you’re interested in a swap!

My ratings are kind of meaningless, but basically
90-100 pretty perfect
80-89 really good
70-79 good, but not the best
60-69 okay, but probably not for me
1-59 varying degrees of dislike
