2303 Tasting Notes
Now this is a pretty good mint chocolate rooibos! It’s definitely heavier on the mint, but the chocolate quietly makes an appearance as well. Sweetened with milk, the flavors really shine, especially when it cools down. I just ordered a different mint chocolate rooibos for my stash, but I might order myself some of this seasonal tea the next time it’s back!
Plain, this is really savory and earthy tasting. Since there’s a lot of chicory here, I added sugar and almond milk, and now it tastes similar to a Teeccino blend without much flavoring. I definitely prefer Teeccino. Now I feel like I’m mostly tasting the almond milk. This one just isn’t at all pleasant to drink without the extra help. I guess I don’t get it.
I’m glad I only bought the zodiac sampler because of the 12 teas, there’s really only one I’d like to have again.
I taste a lot of peach here with a bit of nuttiness too. I like this sweetened with milk, but I don’t love it. The flavor combination is interesting, but the base was a bit stronger than the flavoring and sometimes contributed some bitterness even when steeped properly. The resteep tastes similar to the first.
This flavor is really nice! It manages to be genuinely candylike in its mintiness. Cold, it’s super refreshing. This is one of the best mint teas I’ve had in recent memory! It’s not as crisp and clear as it could be since there’s also that candy element, but it doesn’t get murky and weird like some mint teas!
TTB tea! I’ve seen this tea get a lot of hype on here, so I was excited to see it in the box. I like it! If I drank caffeinated teas daily, I would consider keeping some of this around. It’s mostly malty black tea, and there’s something biscuity and interesting about it. Sweetened with milk, I was really pleased with it.
I got this in a sampler, and I removed the candy corn before steeping. I wouldn’t call this a chai. The spices were quite mild, but I do enjoy the desserty rooibos vibe. I’d consider buying some if it were available outside the sampler I bought it in. It’s interesting!
This seemed a bit thin during my first cup, but perhaps it was underleafed. I definitely taste nuts, but below that, it’s sort of empty. I’m not reminded of ice cream despite drinking this sweetened with milk. Once I let this cool down all the way and added some vanilla almond milk, it finally tasted more richly nutty like I’d been hoping for. The second time I had this, it didn’t make a huge impression. I just tasted some nuts and the black base, but I was really looking for that ice cream flavor.
This smells so gingery! I’m a fan of gingernut biscuits, so I was looking forward to this blend. The ginger definitely comes through strongly in the steeped tea. With milk and sugar, it really does taste like gingernut biscuits! The ginger lingers for a little while, though it could have been a bit spicier. So as usual, I wish for a bit more flavoring, but this is really quite decent!
