2298 Tasting Notes
Hmm black tea was a weird base choice for this flavor profile. Hot, I didn’t feel like I was getting the optimal strawberry or mint flavor. Cold, I felt like the black tea didn’t taste its best. I would have preferred this with a green or herbal base because it is a flavor profile I enjoy a lot. Sadly, it didn’t work for me at all here.
Grabbed a sachet of this from the last tea box. I like it! The flavor is mostly chamomile, but it has a pleasant something else going on. I enjoy the added complexity. Probably not special enough to order, but I definitely enjoyed it cold.
It’s good when your making custom blends for when you want to throw in that classic sleepy time tea flavor without wasting blending slots.
I don’t really like this one. The flavor is a bit fake and weird. It’s not too tart, but its tartness also doesn’t hit in a very pleasant way. It doesn’t really have any notes that make me think smoothie, only sour orange. Milk made it taste a little better. I think I’d have it again that way, but it’s definitely not tasty enough to purchase.
The orange flavor here is so creamy and lovely. The orange is bright, juicy, and authentic. There’s something marshmallowy and fun in there too. I only have the advent amount, but I’d love to have more! I don’t notice the black tea or the rooibos really, which is fine because the flavoring is great. The resteep was super strong and tasty as well.
Plain, there’s too much bitterness, and the raisin sort of hits me wrong – it’s pretty grapey, which feels weird in a black tea to me. With milk, the flavors are smoothed over and I find myself enjoying it a little more. Raisin-y black teas aren’t really my thing, but it seems like this tea does a pretty good job at emulating what it’s supposed to. As it cools, it gets even more grapey, which I’m not loving.
With milk, this has a pretty nice, mild banana flavor. The rooibos itself is super strong and not the most pleasant of rooibos, so unfortunately it steals a lot of the attention. The coconut leaves a fresh, tasty coconut flavor that goes well with the banana. If the rooibos could be toned down, this would be a pretty great blend. And as usual, I wish the banana could be amped up even more!
This is one of the best EGs I’ve had in a while! It tastes creamy and delicious even though I don’t think it has any cream flavoring. The black tea is smooth and tasty. There’s a hint of lavender. I don’t really notice the bergamot, but that’s okay. In the resteep, I definitely tasted the cream and bergamot. This tea is great!
