2284 Tasting Notes
I taste a lot of cardamom, though the base itself is a bit thin. I also may taste a bit of ginger and hints of other spices. I got this sample in a TTB, and only about 1.5 teaspoons remained, so maybe I should have put in even less water than I did. Average, though enjoyable.
I totally get the Mexican candy vibe this is going for. In some sips, I taste a really nice combo of slightly sour candylike watermelon plus that kick of heat. I just wish there could be a smaller amount of beet in there because often it overpowers the other flavors. Definite points for creativity on this one.
I didn’t love this before adding milk, but with milk and sugar, I’m having a good time! It’s fruity, a bit spiced, and so realistic and pleasant. I enjoy this red and green rooibos mixture! The second steep was tasty too. The spice blend was typical for 52teas, but quite nice. I feel like I taste banana more than pear, but I like banana!
This really tastes something like pancakes with syrup! It’s not as good as the 52teas version of course, but it’s quite pleasant! It tastes a little bready, and the syrup tastes authentic too. I’m loving this sweetened with milk! It was probably my favorite find from the last TTB. It tastes even better cold after it’s sat all day, and the resteep is delicious as well.
You know, this one is quite starchy/potato-y. I also would have guessed apple? With milk and sugar, it was actually pretty enjoyable. The rooibos was a great choice, and I could picture there being applesauce on top, though I don’t prefer my latkes served like that. I really appreciate what this blend was trying to do, and I think it did a good job. It tastes best at room temperature or cold, and I find myself craving this one pretty frequently!
It’s hard to decide what I think of this one. I taste the orange and rooibos with a bit of bergamot. It’s fine cold, if a little too tangy. Once I add milk, it gets more of a creamsicle quality, but I no longer notice the bergamot. I think it’s a bit of a strange blend.
I feel like this is a blend I’ve had before from a few companies, just with butterfly pea flower and maybe a few other ingredients added. I enjoy the cherry flavoring they use. It’s not too tart, just fruity and nice. I did remove the butterfly pea flower and would probably buy a similar blend from a cheaper source instead. The cherry and coconut combo is super refreshing!
