From Zhi Tea

In our search for superb and unique organic China Green tea we stumbled across this gorgeous delight from Zhejiang Province. Nestled in the Tian Mu mountains lies a pristine tea garden that lovingly creates this outstanding organic tea. Stylish, long and wiry emerald leaf produces a light green infusion which is slightly astringent and quite herbaceous, with distinct honey/peach notes. This is a very savory and luscious tea full of body and charm. Simple, yet elegant.

A nice middle ground taste of Gunpowder green and Karigane. A tad bitter and bold with a little grassy taste.

Thank you for the teas, TheLastDodo! I don’t think I’ve ever had a plain “Cloud & Mist” green tea without additional flavors (like the delicious 52Teas blend). This one is a revelation though! The description mentions honey and peach and it sure is a sweet fruity something or other, especially as it cools. Green teas aren’t usually this fruity! I could swear this is peaches and cream flavor or something. The leaves themselves look like the closest thing to a gunpowder green. The second cup has more of a vegetal flavor that I’m used to. Still good but the first cup is magic.

The sweetness of the honey/peach really rounds out the flavors nicely – overall it’s a very enjoyable green!

The flavor was stronger than I’d anticipated. This was a great afternoon tea with a delightful treat.

after first pouring water over it – it had a very strong grassy/herb scent, but after a few moments it toned down into a very light and sweet scent. The flavor was much stronger than I’d anticipated after the light scent, but the sweetness of the honey/peach really rounds out the flavors nicely – overall it’s a very enjoyable green!
