Teabag message: See the soul and divinity in everybody.
Right on :D

I really do love the smell of this one. Taste is not quite there. Its too watery for cocoa. Should be smoother and creamier…
I don’t mind having a cup of it here and there…

Oh and i wish Yogi Tea stopped putting licorice in their teas. It ruins everything for me…

Stephanie

I love Yogi Tea for these little messages!

me 3, that’s one of the best things about their teas. and that they are quite unique…

I don’t understand this one at all…it doesn’t really taste like anything…but dirty dish water…sorry…down the drain…

Jaime

I’ve been eyeing this one big-time at the store…sounds so promising. Oh, well.

TeaEqualsBliss

Never know…maybe I gotta bad bag! :P

Rabs

Ick! ::gags::

Ugh. Will avoid.

But I do have to ask … how often do you drink dirty dishwater? ;)

I’m sure I’m going to try and give this away—I didn’t even drink 1/3 of the cup I made last night. What a shame!

Kaitlin S

Bummer! It sounds so good..

I know! I was hoping for a decent cup. :(

This is one tea that I got for my birthday and as I have it in both loose leaf (two bags of) and ready made tea bags (one box of) I had might as well try this one today.

It states to steep this for 7 minutes using boiling water and for the purpose of this analysis I have not used any sweeteners or creamers.

Colour: Honeyed dark brown.
Smell: Cinnamon and chocolate

Taste: Surprisingly subtle in flavour considering the steeping time. It tastes like a very watery drinking chocolate with a few added spices, cinnamon being the most noted. I am not a great fan of chocolate so while I am happy the taste is not stronger I am also disappointed that there is not much of anything to taste. A bit more cinnamon or ginger would not go a miss. It also seems to be very gaseous and has filled my stomach making me feel lethargic and full.

After having so much of this tea left I might end up trading them for something more to my personal taste.

The reviews for this are looking a little dire, but honestly, I really don’t mind this one. I’m on my second box. I drank this one a lot when I was living in Europe. I found it was a nice alternative to hot cocoa. And I wasn’t there long enough to explore tea options other than the ones at supermarkets.

I see why some people find this to taste a little watered down. It’s not like BAM COCOA! But there’s a pinch of it, supported by cinnamon, and then the sweetness comes from the liquorice.

Of course there is better tea out there but it does the trick if you feel like chocolate but don’t want to overindulge.

The teabags themselves smell lovely, shame the actual cup of tea doesn’t smell that amazing and it tastes terrible.
It smells chocolatey, spicy, sweet and warm though the taste is very different, it is slight sweet and warm, very artificial and has no real taste of any spices.
I have found that with the Yogi teas that I’ve tried, they all have this sweet and artificial taste that dominates over any other flavour that may be there.
So if you are after a spicy tea you better off going for a chai tea instead.

This has been my experience with the Yogi Teas as well. I’m glad someone else feels that way.

It smells as promised, spicy hot chocolate. But from my experience, if you want hot chocolate, you drink hot chocolate. (Of course I know not everybody can, and this yogi tea is not a bad substitute, but still.)

The important part of the name, is “aztec spice” rather than “choco”. The taste is spoiled for me by the cinammon and liquorice – which I don’t like when infused, and they’re taking over the cacao notes here. It feels like a light, light version of a chai tea, without the tea, and with a bit of chocolate. Without the name “choco”, it’s actually nice to drink :)

I wouldn’t have the idea of adding milk/sugar to a tisane, but now that I read other comments, I’ll definitely try.

I actually really like this one, despite the sad reviews.
I had this ages ago, and only recently rediscovered it.
Of course its not uber strong so you can’t make it in a jumbo
mug but its lovely with milk and a bit of sugar. (and I just leave the bag in)
Yum!

This has to be one of the most abnosome tea I’ve seen yet. It’s sweet and quirky. The taste is a bit watery if you expect it to be like hot chocolate. You can make it into chai with milk though and that’ll make the taste smoother.

suprisingly nice, as I don’t think of chocolate when I think of tea! I had it without milk, but I think it would be really yummy with. :)
