From white2tea

Gong Fu!

A shorter session; about five infusions. Nothing wrong with the tea at all; I just realized as I was steeping the leaf that I just really wasn’t present. Mentally, physically… I just had other things that I knew I needed to focus on; and I couldn’t even really recall what the infusions I had literally JUST finished drinking tasted like.

So, it was in my best interest to just move on to something else…

A very complex Moonlight white – you can tell the material is very good. The body is very heavy, the flavor is floral, buttery, a bit citrus, and paperback book.

There is some dryness, but I wonder if with age that will go away. I got 16 infusions.

My sample showed a pretty dry leaf which tempted me to brew it up as my first cup of the day.

I used a Nixing teapot and flash rinse to loosen it up with just off the boil water.

Like the leaf, the taste and aroma was light and sweet with creamy mouth feel.

I’d consider buying a cake to see how it will age.

Started drinking this one the other day, drawn in by both its amazing aroma and my love for white tea. I am very sad now, because I love this and just realized it is out of stock. First 1990s hk style and now this! :(

Anyhow…this tea starts out gold, gradually becoming a deep rose gold over several steeps. The aroma and flavor are both that of sweet honey and hay, and the texture is thick and smooth like honey, as well.

Those characteristic spiced notes that I love from white tea begin to emerge after a couple of steeps. I hit this with boiling water to start and gradually reduced to 90C.

This is so good, even rhinkle liked it, and she’s not usually a fan of my white teas!

Very unique tea. Just dipping my toes in as I just finished a hefty Dahongpao session, using 2.4 grams in a mug (grandpa style). I’m smelling pinewood and for some reason a pleasant chewing tobacco aroma.
