My boss got some teabags of this inside a Christmas gift and prompty gave them to me since I’m the “tea person” in the office. The teabags didn’t come in any packaging with ingredients, so I had to look it up when I got home, and was hesitant because chamomile was the first listed ingredient and I’m just not a fan of it. However, peppermint hides a world of hurt for me, and there is enough mint here to take the edge off the chamomile, so I actually found this pretty pleasant. There is a bit of a floral background note from the chamomile but mostly it tastes minty and a little grassy. The mint is the pulverized teabag sort so a bit dusty/dirty tasting, which isn’t my favorite when better mint is out there, but it’s drinkable. Didn’t take me very long to use up the teabags, either. But I’m not particularly sad that there are no Trader Joe’s near me and thus I can’t restock it. There are plenty of other evening choices I like better.

Peppermint can hide plenty of unpleasantness :)

Lovely evening tea. I steep this hot and enjoy it with just a bit of organic agave nectar before bed most nights. This blend is balanced and refreshing; perfect accompaniment for winding down after the day. The mint is the most prominent flavour of the blend to me.

I had not noticed this at TJ’s in the past, so I snagged a box this week. Trader Joe’s teas can be hit or miss for me and I find them to be inconsistent from box to box. But I love TJs and am a sucker for picking up tea there to go with all the other snacks I shouldn’t be purchasing.

I had a mug after yoga and hoping for a good night sleep tonight. The primary flavor I taste is spearmint with a slight hint of floral. Not too bad. I’ll see how the other tea bags stand up.

I remember drinking a lot of this one back in college, so it was nostalgic to have a cup again today. The flavor is simple, yet enjoyable cold. It’s mostly minty with a soft, supporting herbal base. It doesn’t need any sugar. I think I’ve enjoyed every Trader Joe’s tea I’ve ever tried.

Trader Joe’s ❤. We always pick up certain items when we cross the border to stock up on haha. We’ll have to check out the teas whenever we get there next!

They used to carry my favorite rooibos/honeybush blend, but it’s long since been discontinued ): It’s always fun to go in and browse!

I used to fly to California from Texas with my suitcase in a larger suitcase so I’d have an extra return suitcase to stock up on items from TJ’s on work trips. TJ’s finally expanded into TX and then I moved back to CA, so I get to shop like a normal person again. :D

Dustin this is amazing! The closest one to us is an 8-hour drive to Spokane! :’(

Minimum of 2 hours to any Trader Joe’s near us :{

Grabbed this from the Discovery teabox some months ago. The wrap didn’t mention the ingredients so I did a fun guess before reading the ingredients on Steepster. First, the bag was certainly filled with more than a teaspoon, so at least they aren’t being cheap with the amount they’re putting in the teabag. I was guessing this had chamomile, spearmint, and some sort of lemony ingredient. I was right. There was also some extra ingredients that I wasn’t tasting here at all. This was a pleasant nighttime cup. The Steepster rating is at a surprising 82. That’s quite high for any teabag (not to be a snob about it.)

I consider this to be a slightly better than average tea. I am unlikely to buy this one again as it reminds me of Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer, which I prefer more.

As with Celestial Seasonings, I tend to have a love/hate relationship with the tea offerings from Trader Joe’s.

This tea has a nice herbal flavor and did not require me to add any additional sweeteners which is a preference of mine.

I’d recommend it to folks even though it wasn’t a big hit for me.

Another of the Trader Joe’s teas I purchased this week. This is basically Celestial Seasoning’s Sleepy Time. It is a delicious blend of chamomile, peppermint, lemongrass, spearmint, passionflower leaf, orange flowers, and blackberry leaf. I found it tasted mostly like spearmint/peppermint/chamomile and I didn’t taste the other ingredients as much. This brews really well hot or cold; I enjoy one tea bag in 500mL boiling water brewed 4-5 minutes and then I add vanilla almond or soy milk.

I haven’t had great luck with Trader Joe’s teas before, but this is delicious. I love the packaging too. So cute! I’m always hunting for calming herbal teas, and this is one of the most calming I’ve had yet.
