From Tealet

Grower: Hawaii Rainforest Tea
Region: Hawaii, USA

This premium Hawaii Grown Tea is handpicked and handprocessed. It is a blend of Yutaka Midori, Boheu, Benikaori, and Yabukita varietals grown at 100 feet above sea level. These happy tea trees are located on the slopes of Mauna Loa, an active volcano that erupts just 5 miles from the plantation. Grower Bob Jacobson says that his “tea enjoys the naturally acid environment.” When brewed at different strengths various flavors are brought out in the tea. The first brew is clear and light in color after 7 minutes of brewing with a light aroma. Leaves can be infused 3 or more times without getting bitter and stil retaining its sweetness. This tea also delightful iced.

This is a lively tea. The dry tea leaves are bigger than usual white tea I’ve seen. They are consistent in length though and I can tell the freshness from the white fur on the leaves. The tea liquid is bright greenish and tastes mellow with a light natural sweetness.
