From Tea Trunk

Our tribute to the iconic marigold, a symbol of celebration and festive joy. Imagine a brew carefully braided with three equally enchanting flavors: Marigold, Lemongrass, and goodness of organic green tea. Popular as wedding favors, this would be tea equivalent of walking into the colorful Indian wedding and bonding with long lost friends.

Perfect to improve digestion and compliment your detox regime.

Taste notes are refreshing, balmy and floral.

Goes well with gulab Jamuns, Baklava, Rice crackers.

Sipdown (244)!

Thanks VariaTEA for the tea! It took me a while to get around to trying this one, but I’m definitely happy I did – it was pretty interesting!

So I was totally expecting a floral tea because this is “marigold” and that’s a flower. So, you know, obvious connection. The other Tea Trunk teas I’ve had have been similarly straight forward. While this definitely WAS floral in a sort of perfumey kind of way and did have the grassy profile I’d expect from a green tea there was something else to it as well. It’s actually pretty strongly citrusy!? I mean, I can see the lemongrass in this one and how that would influence the flavour to be more citrus heavy – however I swear I also taste oranges a fair bit and that’s confusing me.

Although, orange or not this was pretty pleasant and a good late night option.

I’m disappointed there is no marigold flavor to it — I have always loved those flowers and would love to know what a tea flavored like the flower would be like.

This is an interesting tea, full of spices and vegetables and something bright trying to break through. A hint of licorice here, a wisp of mint there and the whole time it is savory and green. It’s like a tasty veggie side dish. I am not sure how I feel…

Flowers! It’s like perfume sorta with that slight dryness and the spice you’d find in like lavender or dandelions. I wish I could describe this better…I think I will add the other teabag to my tea twins package I am working on and hopefully she will be better at explaining this tea.
