From Taiwan Sourcing

Like “Lily Jade” of this season, this “Jade Lotus” is our attempt to explore the possibility of light fermentation with traditional processing. Unlike what you might already tried before from this plantation at Nanshan, we aimed to offer something similar to the current market but very different at its core.

As you might noticed from this season’s collection, we did not have material from Yakou area. This is because of the harsh weather of this season could not allow the tea trees to sprout at Yakou, and therefore allowed us to focus on Nanshan completely this season. Since we had more concentrating effort and time to execute some very subtle experiment with this material this season, we were able to create the first “jade-oolong-like” Nanshan tea.

When you drink this tea you might mistaken it as “jade oolong” due to its light character. However, if you compare it with a jade oolong at hand side by side you will notice the intrinsic differences at its very core. This tea has a very light body yet robust floral aroma with a clear aftertaste. If you have been searching for something jade oolong like from our collection, we hope this “Jade Lotus” and “Lily Jade” will invite you to reimagine the possibility of “light oolong tea.”
