Red tea “Xiao Zhong” harvest in 2020 from Helan tea farm (Wuyishan tea region, Fujian Province.
In appearance: medium-sized, thin, dark brown flagella of twisted tea tips. The fragrance is deep, spicy-and-fruity with chocolate accent. The liquor is transparent, with a red-chestnut shade.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is warm and bright, multifaceted, with notes of bitter chocolate, honey biscuit, dried fruits, and black chokeberry. The aroma is rich, deep and warm. The taste is saturated and juicy, a bit tart, sweetish, with fine fruit acidity and refreshing finish.

A nice pick-me-up this morning. The texture is thin but the taste makes up for it, perfectly balanced between bitter and sweet. The flavor is very much dark chocolate with a little bit of woodiness to it, I’m not getting the fruit flavors that the vendor describes. This tea punches above its weight, it reminds me of much more expensive black teas. Well worth it for anyone who enjoys chocolate notes.
