From Featherheartflower

If you want to sing out sing out! Remember when Maude makes Harold a cup of oatstraw tea? This tea is inspired by a love story, a classic….one of Featherheart’s favorite movies! Put on a little Cat Stevens and sip a combo of ingredients that will be reminiscent of a little oatmeal cookie in your mouth! And oatstraw is such a great herb. . . it improves coordination, bone density, length of attention span, balance, memory, clarity, ease of achieving meditative and conscious dream states and overall calmness and centeredness. It’s high in calcium, iron, phosphorus, B vitamins, potassium, vitamin C and many amino acids. Oats strengthen and nourish the nerves and nervous system, making this a great tea to drink during times of emotional stress, breakdowns and breakthroughs. In addition, it’s good for the heart, clearing your blood vessels of fatty deposits, lowering cholesterol and stabilizing blood sugar. And don’t be surprised if a tea of oatstraw makes you want to hug and kiss and more – it’s an aphrodisiac!

One sack contains fifteen tea bags. Featherheart recommends a long, covered steep on all her teas to maximize the health benefits and allow for the herb’s natural constituents to be dissolved in the hot water. 30 minutes is ideal, but 15 will do when in a hurry! And as always, when using herbs while pregnant, please consult your doctor or a wise herbalist.
