From Culinary Teas

This creamy white chocolate mousse flavor just might be the best thing to happen to black tea since milk and sugar.

Sipdown tea #3! Thanks to momo for sending me this sample. The aroma of this tea is lovely, smooth and chocolatey. The flavor came out a bit bitter but it’s still drinkable. I can taste the black tea base and creamy notes of white chocolate. I liked this one. Thanks again!

This tea isn’t half bad. Thanks for sharing it with me CK!

What appeals to me is what many others here considered a flaw of sorts. It’s not an in-your-face dessert tea. The black base is bold and the white chocolate only adds a slight change of texture and a touch of sweetness.

Sunday sample Sipdown #3

Ok backlogging this. I’ve had this sample for a while and just tried it for the first time yesterday. I didn’t really get much of a chocolate flavor, then again white chocolate doesn’t taste very chocolaty. I guess I would say it was a bit creamy and slightly slightly sweet with a nice strong black base. I wouldn’t stock it as one of my main dessert teas but for people who like a little flavor but not a BAM dessert tea like Della Terra type teas, this would probably be really nice.

I didn’t love it enough to purchase it, but I will definitely finish the sample.

Had this for my morning tea with cookies. This is a good dessert tea but better to go short on the steeping time, I left my first cup for a tad of 3 minutes and it was too much, bitter. This second cup hits the spot, slightly sweet and creamy chocolate taste. I love the weekend so sad that tomorrow is Monday… but on the plus side, my Verdant Tea Black Friday order should be coming in :)

I can definitely taste the white chocolate, at least after I sweeten it (understandable; I find that’s true of most chocolate teas). There’s nothing particularly special or complex about this, but it’s a solid simple dessert tea.

Not bad… pretty much tastes like what it says (with milk and sugar, because who ever heard of bitter white chocolate?) I’m not excited by it, but it certainly is drinkable. The tea base is perhaps a touch astringent, but milk smooths it out nicely. I wouldn’t buy a full size, but I will finish my sample.

This I’s black tea and chocolate. You can the chocolate in the black tea. I’t smells like black tea and chocolate. I steeped it for two minutes or so. This tastes like a nice black tea with a medium white chocolate taste. Pretty good.
