From Camellia Sinensis

Introducing the first Pu er style fermented tea from Malawi. The tea, which has undergone post-fermentation in a highly controlled environment, was developed in collaboration with a Japanese company. It is a meeting of modernity and tradition. The Satemwa tea garden, hidden high up in the Shire Highlands, is a family business founded in 1923 with a long history of research and innovation in different cultivars. In the early 2000s, their passion for tea led them to reintroduce the orthodox leaf transformation process. Their speciality teas are a huge success.

The infusion has a smooth texture and a very dark colour, and is easy to drink. It has rich earthy, cereal (wheat bran) and menthol (wintergreen) aromas. The pleasantly sweet finish leaves a hint of dark chocolate.

A round, warm tea that gives a generous second infusion.

Cultivar: Assamica
