I’m not sure if I like chamomile. So before I try the Citrus Dream sample from Butiki Teas, I’ll try this bagged tea first. This mostly smells like mint when dry. Once brewed, it has a slight chamomile aroma underneath the more obvious mint.

The flavor is a similar sensory experience. I can taste a lot of mint with a hint of chamomile underneath. Mmm, I don’t know if I’m sleep deprived or what. But this isn’t bad. This is a relaxing blend indeed. *content sigh

Back late from a photography lecture and to see work at a gallery – not work that I found interesting. Ugh. I had just enough energy left to pop teabags in mugs with some honey before bed. This is the one I chose because I am hoping that the chamomile will knock me out! It’s not super flavorful, but you can leave the bag in your cup with no fear of bitterness. I mainly taste mint and the honey I put in. But the main attraction to this tea is not flavor but warmth and ease. I’m glad I have it and some other bagged herbals around for lazy late nights when I don’t want to measure, fuss, wait, or clean a teapot!

Where where which gallery?

JacquelineM

It was in Philadelphia – the lecture was here:

http://www.philaphotoarts.org/

and the gallery:

http://www.cranearts.com/

Basically, everything that frustrates me and makes me sad about contemporary art. Style over substance, who you know not what you know, pushy people exploiting their subjects…

But, mercifully, the chamomile DID knock me out! I floated to bed and had sweet dreams – not bad for a lil tea bag :)

Ughhhhhh insomnia!

I usually stay away from Bigelow blends, unless it’s either the straight chamomile or the straight peppermint ones, because they tend to be WAY too fast and loose with the hibiscus in their herbal blends. But for some reason, I don’t seem to mind it in this one.

This is mild and sweet. Just kind of generic and meh. I’m gonna down it because I want the chamomile to do its thing and make me feel sleepy.

I happen to have a lot of this tea because someone gave me a whole box of it as part of a gift. But I daresay that when I finish these bags up, I won’t be restocking it. I’ve had much better bedtime blends from other companies.

This was actually pretty good! I wasn’t expecting much per some of the reviews here, but I liked it! The chamomile really helped settle me down, and I look forward to having this again. The mint was nicely done, too :)

This is one of my favorite teas to relax with. Minty and fragrant- it tastes sweet without having to add sweetener. The is probably do to the hibiscus, rose, and orange blossoms, which are very subtle. This was perfect after getting home late after choir practice, a full day of work and a VERY long commute.

I enjoy this a lot more than I expected! Mint is the primary flavor here, and the hibiscus adds an unexpected kick. I’m not usually a chamomile fan, but it doesn’t bother me in this particular blend.

not horrible for a herbal/chamomile. Not sure if it makes me sleepy tho.

Ricky

Haha, but the title said it’s suppose to give you some sweet dreams.

This tea is better than I remembered. Maybe it was because I forgot it was steeping and let it go for about 20 minutes. I didn’t taste the chamomile in it at all. It had a good mint flavor, but without the bite that mint often has (more like spearmint than peppermint). Tasted very refreshing, yet was calming at the same time. Prepared with stevia.

This is such a nice tea to drink when you’re stressed, feeling anxious, or just needing to wind down before bedtime. It tastes great sweetened with a little honey, but it’s great plain too.

The smell of this tea is very warm and inviting. The flavor is somewhat sweet on its own and tastes mostly like mint with chamomile undertones. Nothing about this tea is either overpowering or dull. It’s just right.
