Lightly spiced with cinnamon and ginger to accent the gently sweet notes of pomegranate and provide a warming tingle on a chilly fall day. Hibiscus and rose hips add lively layers of flavor.

Cold steeped.

This is weirdly named. To me, “Pomegranate Grove” just implies a pomegranate fruit tisane, so I expected it to be similar to their other similar blends, like the cherry and strawberry versions.

Nope, this is more of a mulled cider type of flavor. It’s quite spice-forward, on the cinnamon in particular. The ingredients claim there is only pomegranate flavoring and not spice, but I can’t imagine getting this strong of a cinnamon candy flavor with just a bit of ground cinnamon.

Anyway, the whole thing tastes quite artificial to me, it reminds me of potpourri without the strong floral presence. It’s that sort of “essential oil” cinnamon taste, and then a vague cherry/red fruits flavor and plenty of hibiscus tartness. To be fair though, I can imagine this might be better hot.

I got the same notes but I rather like the mulled cider-ness

I think it was just a bit odd as a cold tea for me. I would probably like it better hot.

I read another note here that it’s reminiscent of cleaning products and I GET it. The dry leaf reminds of Goo Gone + Windex. Shrug

The flavor isn’t as harsh though. It’s mildly sweet and has a spice that I can’t quite place. The brew is kind of weak, so I’ll make sure to add more to the next cup. The color of the liquor is pretty, so there’s that.

The spices in this one combine to smell like some sort of cleaning product, and the taste is sadly reminiscent of that too. The fruit flavor is sort of generic, not tart, a bit thin, and the spices really aren’t that pleasing to my tastes. I’ve had it cold twice now, and I don’t think I want it again.

Steeped for 10 minutes. Smells like the scratch & sniff ginger cookie from the Pat the Bunny children’s book. Reminiscent of childhood feelings and warmth. Tried 11.2018.
