This tea is not organic. I made 3 different cups with 3 different tea bags and got the same result of an oily residue floating on top. I finally realized that it was probably pesticide residue from this cheap Chinese tea that the Chinese government allowed to be called organic. Don’t trust anything organic from China.

こんいちわ everyone! The organics green tea, wow, I must say. I’ve tasted a vast array of green teas and this has to be one of the worser ones I’ve had. First off, visually it is barely green. It is actually more of a hinged brown than anything. The taste, this is what gets me. I understand the term “organic”, and I’ve had fantastic organic teas before, but this abomination really taints the name. Upon first taste, it has a sort of metallic taste to it with a mix of hot bleak water. The aroma is not a strong leafy type either, it has more of a “dirt” smell to it. Taste and smell sure won’t win any awards for this one, but if you are looking for a bland tasting organic cup of hot water, well look no further. I’m not sure where they grew this particular tea, but it will do the job if you are looking for complete organic which is actually unnecessary for most teas unless you’re ordering from China.
