47 Tasting Notes
I purchased this tea last summer when I was pretty new to tea and I only tried it once. Coming back to it this year, with my greater knowledge and experience with tea, I prepared it iced and it was pretty good! I was a bit surprised! It reminds of Cool Cactus, at least the iced versions of each tea. As many previous reviewers have said, it is has a light taste (no surprise there for a white tea) but it is also fruity and sweet, so it makes a nice iced tea. There is also a slight tartness there that makes for a more complex flavour. I would definitely pick up some more if it were re-released. Very refreshing as an iced tea!
This is a relatively new tea from Teavana. They had it out as a sample for quite some time. I kept coming back to the store to try it. I didn’t think I would like it, as I usually find white teas to be too weak for my preferences, but I LOVE this one. I definitely have to add some rock sugar to bring out the flavour, but I absolutely love this one. When I first purchased this tea, I couldn’t stop drinking it. It is a bit pricey, but you can get many brews out of it to offset the extra cost. I am looking forward to brewing it up during the summer, when I am sitting outside relaxing and enjoying the weather.
I really like this one. It is a bit pricey, but you can get multiple brews out of it. Even though it is a white tea, the flavour is pretty strong. I like it better than the Peach Tranquility that I found to be too weak in flavour. It is very nice to brew in a glass teapot. Just brewing up this tea makes me feel relaxed. I would recommend it.
I had this one in my cupboard for quite some time before trying it. I tried it iced. It was pretty good, but I wasn’t blown away by it initially. I went to get a second brew out of the leaves and the scent given off by the leaves was very pleasant and familiar. So, I think I really like this one, but just had to get used to it. It may become a regular in my iced tea rotation. Makes a great iced tea. If you haven’t tried it, you definitely should.
I’m not too sure what to say about this one. It is not bad, but I’m not thrilled with it either. It is just okay for me. I am glad that I tried it, but would not pick up any more. I had it both hot and iced. And it was fine. If you are looking for a basic coconut tea, this one is for you. I think I much prefer the teas with coconut mixed with other ingredients – like Chocolate Macaroon, Salted Caramel, Fantasy Island, and Toasted Walnut. But that’s just me.
Before picking up this tea in-store, I reviewed the notes left by other reviewers who seem to really like it. So, I picked up a free sample of 25g with a David’s Tea promotion for the release of the new Summer Collection. It was pretty good. I had it iced. The mango comes through loud and clear. But I think I would like it better as a herbal tea, rather than as a black. I still need to try the Guava Cadabra which may be more to my liking.
All in all, it is a good tea, but not my favourite. Enjoyable, but definitely not an essential tea for me. I don’t think I will pick up any more, but I am glad that I had the chance to try it.
When this first came out a week ago, I sampled it in store with no milk. It wasn’t remarkable, but I knew that it would need some milk to really be evaluated as it should. So, I got some to bring home and brewed it up as a hot latte. Wow! That is amazing! As the lady in store said, it is so much like hot chocolate. And I love dark chocolate (and actually prefer it to milk chocolate), so this was right up my alley. I think I will definitely keep a big stock of this one in my tea cupboard for times when I want a rich and creamy dessert tea. This one definitely delivers on its name. I can’t wait to try it iced as well.
And one more thing….I was originally perplexed as to why they would add blueberries to this tea, but you cannot really taste the blueberry in the brewed tea. I was relieved to discover this, as I am not huge fan of mixing chocolate with fruit.
So, I picked up the new summer teas yesterday. In terms of the dry leaves, I think this is the best smelling tea I have ever come across. Strawberry, pineapple, and coconut! An amazing combination. In terms of the taste, it is quite similar to the Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait, as other reviewers have stated. On my first brew, I tried it hot and it was very good. I will try it iced next. I think it will be amazing iced. I will rate the tea after trying it iced.
Okay….I tried it iced and it is even more amazing! So good! Definitely stocking up on this one! Highly recommended!
