Very gentle, but with a bit more personality than your typical honeybush tea. I love peach/apricot scented teas, so this was up my alley.
I enjoyed it hot and iced.

drank Green Tea Kombucha by Yogi

Bizarre and kinda mediocre.
I assumed the medicinal value of the kombucha would be destroyed by the drying process, but I still really wanted to know what it would taste like. Alas, this tea is not the way to find out—the green tea/spearmint/passion fruit flavors take over.
I may try it as an ice tea or cold brewed.

A robust Ceylon blend. Pleasant enough.
SST packed a lot into the mesh teabag, I would probably have measured a smaller dose if it were loose.
Happily, the flavor didn’t come out undrinkably strong. You can tell the tea is easy to oversteep, but the bite was muted and not too astringent.

drank Fig Formosa Oolong by Tealuxe

I ordered a fig formosa tea with brunch at the inimitable Sonsie in Downtown Boston. They are now out of stock, and since Tealuxe, a fellow local business, is also out of stock of this rare tea, I imagine that they are where Sonsie found it. I instantly wanted to order some myself, it is uniquely delicious! Rich and lightly caffeinated, it would make a lovely afternoon tea.

My coworker said this is the best rose-scented black tea of all time. We are going to have a face-off between it and Mark T. Wendell’s Rose Congou.

This impulse buy at an international grocery store definitely paid off. The pineapple scent is delicious and incredibly refreshing, and the taste has a just enough body. I’ll be disappointed when I run out!

drank Genmai Cha by Takaokaya

Not the best genmai-cha ever in the world, but quite a respectable standard. This variety combines broken green tea leaves with matcha and toasted rice in aluminum-lined bags. I’m a big fan of that rice flavor!

At this price, it’s a good value, though not especially subtle—definitely contains more actual tea than Lipton black tea. I prefer to downplay its strength with milk and sweetener, though at that point you might as well drink TJ’s Irish Breakfast.

Not my thing! I enjoy white tea in general, but the ginger and pear overwhelm it, and aren’t particularly sweet. Can’t seem to brew it in a way I enjoy without adding sugar. It sounds like such an alluring combination that guests are gradually taking it off my hands.

I love tea: black, oolong, green, rooibos, herbals, pu’er, and blends thereof. Not a huge fan of matcha or yerba mate (or the flavor of licorice root, lemongrass, and strong hibiscus), but game to try anything at least once.
A big fan of Harney & Sons and Upton Teas, and poised to take this site by storm with blends from Mark T. Wendell’s of Acton, MA. Curious to try more from Lupicia and Whispering Pines. On an ongoing quest to find the most luscious of peach teas and the most balanced of rose teas. Wish me luck!
