I am not sure where people are getting all these flavors from, because I steeped this baby for 5 min plus a little more and it just tastes like water to me.

drank Cucumber Mint by Tea Forte

I got some sample packs of this tea a while ago and set them aside, because I hate cucumber. But today I had an upset stomach and this was the first mint tea I could find in my stash, so I gave it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! Not sure I really got any cucumber at all, unless that was what accounted for the clean flavor of the tea. Not overly minty either, but a pleasant amount. Pleasant!

It’s rare that I take a sip of tea and go MMM! This is delicious. I balked at the 90 second steep time but it’s really perfect.

drank Browncoat Genmaicha by 52teas

I am still new to genmaichas and think that maybe I am just not a genmaicha person. This is my first 52 teas tea. This is one of those teas that smells great in the bag but less impressive to taste. The cocoa smelled great but I don’t really taste it in the tea.

drank Pure Vanilla by DAVIDsTEA

Wanted something simple for this evening. I’m still new to rooibos teas and I’m not sure if I like them. (all the ones I have are from David’s Tea- I think this is my favorite so far.) I always end up adding a few drops of Stevia to bring out the flavor.

Preparation
205 °F / 96 °C 6 min, 15 sec 1 tsp 12 OZ / 354 ML

I had this tea at Bosie Tea Parlor in the West Village earlier this month and I had to go back to see if they sold the tea to take home- and they do! I got 2 oz in an adorable little tin with a neat lid for $6. Not always a fan of flavored green teas but this one is just scrumptious.
Directions say to steep for 2-4 min- I did 3 min to start and added another minute for more flavor.

Preparation
155 °F / 68 °C 4 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 12 OZ / 354 ML

Generally not a cinnamon fan but it really worked with this tea! Would recommend a steep time of closer to 5 min as opposed to the recommended 3 min.

Flavors: Cinnamon

drank Silver Bud Ya Bao by TeaSource

I had never seen a tea like this before! I was even a little skeptical that pouring water over it would result in tea after 2.5 min, but it did.
Let my water cool a little too much before adding- steeped for 2.5 min as directed at 150F. I wish I had let it go for a little longer- the flavor is nice but a little too light.
Second steep, let it go for about 5 min, taste was roughly the same.
Grassy and fresh- exactly how you’d expect something that looks so fresh to taste. Didn’t love it though.
