Y’all, you’re going to laugh: This is the best chai-like tea I have had in the last 10 years. I know it’s just a bunch of powder in a bag, but gosh darn it, it’s delicious powder in a bag. Bengal Spice has a wonderfully strong flavor that doesn’t get overpowered by adding creamer, and it’s sweet enough on its own that I don’t need to add sugar. I know Celestial Seasonings gets a bad rap, but no matter how many fancy chai-like teas I try, I always come back to this one.

I always have a box of this on hand. In the winter, when my house is in the low 50s as the heater groans to life in the morning, there is nothing like a pot of this to warm me up and wake me up. It takes honey and cream like a champ.

This tea just really didn’t do it for me — the flavors just weren’t as strong as I was expecting for something I expected to be like a chai. Perhaps I should have played around more with how I brewed it? Not awful, but a solid “meh” from me. From a Sipsby box.

I was really impressed with this Blood Orange tea — not overwhelmingly sour like most I’ve had. Pulled this out of a Sipsy box and loved it!

Pulled this out of a Sipsby box and loved it! This is the best cacao tea I’ve had to date — a wonderful chocolatey flavor without tasting too sweet (or too fake). Fairly light, I liked mine with just a splash of soy milk.

So if you really like coffee, this is a tea for you! That said, it may not taste like the best coffee — once I brewed mine up and added a bit of cream and sweetener, it tasted exactly like the cappuccinos from the cappuccino machine in my junior high cafeteria. That worked for me, but it may or may not work for you. Pulled this out of a Sipsby box.

Flavors: Coffee, Hazelnut

Preparation
3 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML

This is probably my favorite just-plain-rooibos tea that comes in bags: It’s a very nice tea! It’s a great, basic rooibos without any other flavors. Would I recommend you buy it in its usual 36-bag tin? Sure. Would I recommend that you buy 250 bags of it in bulk, like I did? No, my friends, I would not — having finally completed that sipdown, I can assure you that it is not 250-bags-worth of amazing.
