Thanks to Angel from Teavivre for the generous sample and fast shipping! This tea was sweet and slightly floral, and good for a couple brews, making it a very good value indeed. There is a mild milky note that was quite pleasant, and I found myself looking forward to a mug of milk oolong each morning. Careful not to steep too hot, I find this kills that milky flavor. I haven’t yet tried the flavored milk oolong from Teavivre, but that’s next on the steeping list!

I’ve been on an iced tea kick with this continued heat. Fruity, tart iced teas are so refreshing, and this one is no different. It does take a lot more to make an iced tea, and I’ve already used up the entire 50g bag. I offered some to a friend with dinner last night, explaining it was caffeine free. She was not entirely convinced it would be any good, but after a few sips, she went on to have two more glasses!

To me, this is a perfectly balanced fruity tea. I tried it hot, and didn’t care for it much, because it seemed like drinking hot juice. Iced, and with a touch of sweetener, this is amazing. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more!

Tried this one hot several months ago, and found it like drinking hot, sour juice. Just tried it iced, and found it much more pleasant. First of all, I do love the deep red color, reminds me of a pretty garnet ring my grandma had. It can be somewhat sharp when hot, and no amount of sweetener could fix it. I don’t think any sweetener was necessary when iced, and I feel more refreshed already.

Tried this hot several months ago, when I was feeling under the weather and feeling like a lemon tea might perk me up. It was too tart, and adding sweetener to it made it taste like hot lemonade.

Now that the weather here is sweltering, iced tea is a lovely treat. Unfortunately, I drink so much, if I’m not careful, I will be awake all night. An herbal tisane is an ideal iced drink in the evening.

It makes a lovely, pale yellow cup of iced tea. I can definitely taste the lemon and lime, though I’m not sure what the marigold did besides add color. I didn’t find the need to add sweetener, as it’s lovely enough on its own, though I imagine it would bring out the citrus flavor even more.

drank Momo by Lupicia

I picked up some Lupicia teas in the store last time I was in San Francisco. Probably the most delightful tea store I have ever been to, and if you’re ever near a Lupicia store, I’d highly recommend dropping by for a visit!

Momo was one of the teas I picked up during this trip. I figured I like peaches, and I love tea, why not try them together? I had a hot cup yesterday, and wasn’t particularly impressed. I detected a faint peach note aftertaste, but the black tea was predominant. I had also added a touch of rock sugar because I read that this brings out the peach flavor. Mostly tasted like those Japanese peach gummies, which I adore, but find strange to drink.

I decided to try it iced today, and boy, was that a treat! I have already had two large glasses, and imagine I probably won’t be sleeping much tonight. It is lovely on its own without sugar, and the peach note really sings when it is iced. Highly recommend it for the dog days of summer.

delicious. I really wasn’t expecting much from a tea touted as a weight loss aid, but wow. It is slightly tart and doesn’t require sweeteners. Not sure I taste peppermint, but that’s just as well. I love the strawberry note!
